AV&R was selected to take part of the 1st edition of SME Passport, program created bythe Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal in 2012. SME Passport is aninternationalization assistance program that aims to provide personalized support toSME. AV&R benefited from this program to accelerate its business development in Asia.

AV&R was named Bike-friendly Business by Velo Quebec in 2011. This award honourscompanies doing concrete actions to promote biking-to-work and is awarded annually,downtown Montreal, during the Car-free Day.

AV&R won the Application Award with its jet engine blades weld blending and profilingsystem. AV&R was distinguished among the Global Partners of 11 regions represented atthe Global Partner Conference: FANUC America, FANUC Europe, FANUC Thailand,FANUC China, FANUC Malaysia, FANUC Korea, FANUC Indonesia, FANUC Taiwan,FANUC Oceania and FANUC South Africa.


Awards

AV&R won twice the Mercuriades contest: in the category Export and internationalmarket development in 2014 and Innovation Investissement Québec in 2013. Thiscontest is held by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Québec.

AV&R was finalist of the Innovations Contest of the Association pour le développementde la recherche et de l'innovation du Québec (ADRIQ) in the category Innovation: Productin 2012. AV&R was also finalist in the Innovative SME category in 2011.

AV&R won the Desjardins Entrepreneur Award in the International Business category in2011. This prize, presented by Export Development Canada (EDC), rewards a companybrilliantly showing the real positive impacts of extending its business internationally.

AV&R’s Automated Blade Profiling System was selected by the Society ofManufacturing Engineers (SME) as one of the 2012 Innovations That Could Change theWay You Manufacture. This prize showcases new and emerging technologies as well asprocesses that are already making a difference in manufacturing.

AV&R was finalist of the 2012 Innovation Challenge contest organized by AviationWeek in the category Power and Propulsion. This contest recognizes and promotestechnology breakthroughs that provide new or substantially improved performancewithin the aerospace and defense industry.

The Quebec Aerospace Association, now part of Aéro Montréal, awarded the Business ofthe Year Award to AV&R in 2011. This prize acknowledged outstanding businessesshowing major success and excellence in the aerospace sector.
