1 AVS™ DETACHABLE CHEST RIG

INTRODUCTIONThe AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig is a multi-purpose chest rig capable of being used with various

components of the AVS™ system. This unique system allows the user to carry a variety of

components comfortably, including a ballistic plate of virtually any size. The AVS™ chest rig

system also features a front opening zipper, which allows for easy don and doff of the system

when fully loaded. Made in the US from US materials.

FEATURES � Holds virtually any size ballistic plate, also includes stowable top flap

� Front opening zipper for easy don and doff

� Each of the four front pouches can hold two 5.56 mags, one 7.62, or one MBITR

� Side pouches hold side plates and a MBITR

� One integrated pistol holder on each side of the chest rig

OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS


ATTACHING CHEST RIG TO AVS™ PADDED YOKE To attach the AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig to the AVS™ Padded Yoke, perform the following:

*AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig connected to AVS™ Padded Yoke

1 Fold the end of the chest rig strap in half and route it up under the

AVS™ Padded Yoke webbing to the desired position.

2 Lay the chest rig strap flat and repeat for opposite side.

3 Connect the sides of the chest rig with the elastic strap provided. 4 Connect the AVS™ Padded Yoke back strap to top-rear right and left

corners of the chest rig.


ATTACHING CHEST RIG TO AVS™ HARNESSTo attach the Detachable Chest Rig to an AVS™ Harness, perform the following:

*AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig connected to AVS™ Harness


1 Fold the chest rig straps in half and route them under the AVS™ Harness

webbing as pictured.

2 Route the right and left arms of the AVS™ Harness through the channel

slots on the inside of the chest rig.

3 Connect the right and left rear arms of the chest rig to the side of the

AVS™ Harness.


DONNING OR DOFFING CHEST RIG To don or doff the chest rig, with the bib flap in the up position, perform the following:

1 Snap or unsnap the top-left strap and route it through the metal loop.

2 Buckle or unbuckle the sternum strap.


3 Zip or unzip the front zipper closure.

4 Route the left side arm of AVS™ Harness in and out of the channel on

the back of the plate pocket.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES


TOP BIB STORAGEThe top flap of the chest rig can be stored in the down position if the user desires. Unsnap the top-right and top-left webbing tabs and fold the top

bib into the plate pocket.

14ADDITIONAL FEATURES

INSERTING BALLISTIC PLATEThe AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig is designed to accept small through extra large ballistic plates.

1 Insert the ballistic plate into the pocket. Route the top flap over the top of

the plate and secure it with the 3-bar slide.

*For small and medium plates, use the elastic band on the inside of the plate

pocket to secure the plate.

2 Stow the remainder of the webbing under the elastic band.


RADIO POCKETThe front outboard pockets on the AVS™ Detachable Chest Rig can be set up to use radios and other items that do not require a flap. The front side

of the general purpose pouch has an elastic to hold a radio.

16ADDITIONAL FEATURES

SIDE PLATE POCKETThe side plate pocket is designed to hold a 6”x6” stand-alone plate.


PISTOL POCKETThe chest rig features a pistol pocket on each side. Each pocket is designed to hold a wide range of pistols with or without a light.

BODY ARMORIt is against Federal Law for a person convicted

of a violent felony to purchase or possess body

armor. In addition, various states also have

laws restricting the purchase or possession of

body armor by persons convicted of certain

felonies, other crimes of violence, or drug

crimes. By purchasing body armor, you

acknowledge and certify that (i) you have

no felony convictions, (ii) you have not been

convicted of any other crime that would restrict

your ability to purchase or possess body armor

under any Federal or State law, (iii) you do not

intend to use the body armor for any criminal

purpose and (iv) you are over 18 years old.

Crye Precision reserves the right, in its sole

discretion, to refuse to sell body armor to any

person. Additionally, the sale of body armor

to residents of Connecticut is restricted to

in-person sales, unless the sale is made to

certain law enforcement or military personnel.

We require that all orders of body armor be

accompanied by a government issued photo
