WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that has driven participants or a community to start, maintain or increase in physical activity. Entrants could be i) mass participation events or series of events ii) sports organisations promoting a sport or activity iii) health or community organisations promoting a healthy lifestyle iv) brands encouraging a healthy lifestyle or more.

AGENCY OF THE YEAR

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any agency with a significant focus and body of work in sport.

BRAND OF THE YEAR

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any consumer-facing brand which is either i) an endemic sports brand ii) a sponsor or iii) any brand that uses sport as a marketing platform. This category is not limited to just pure sports goods brands

COMMUNICATIONS AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any piece of work that demonstrates excellent use of communications across owned and earned media. Entrants could include work from PR and media relations, social media campaigns and more.

CUTTING EDGE SPORT AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that is challenging the norm through progressive thought, invention, innovation or new technologies. This award is open to any organisation if they can demonstrate they are on the cutting edge and redefining their area of sport. The connection between all shortlisted entries will be how they are pushing the boundaries and leading change in the sport industry.

DATA AND INSIGHT AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to organisations that are utilising the latest analytics, data or research combined with relevant expertise and insight to improve business performance. The data and insight can be used to provide the basis for a wider strategy or have a direct impact on business performance.

Entrants could include, but are not limited to i) a rights holder’s use of data to directly target and/or increase revenue from consumers ii) an agency and/or brand’s use of data and insight to inform a sponsorship or marketing strategy iii) a media platform’s use of data to enhance the experience of their audience and more.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any professional organisation either within the sport industry, or an organisation using sport as a vehicle to promote the diversity and inclusion agenda to improve business performance. This award can be entered by agencies, brands, broadcasters, events, governing bodies, leagues, rights holders, teams, venues and more, for internally or externally-facing work.

EVENT OF THE YEAR

WHO SHOULD ENTER? Please note the criteria have been amended to clarify that entries featuring professional and/or elite athletes are eligible.

This award is open to any standalone live sports event with professional/elite athletes, which may or may not form part of a wider league or series of events. Entrants could be i) a tournament ii) a standalone fixture (e.g. a match, race, fight or more) or iii) single or multisport events. The Event of the Year can include multiple ticketed sessions but must be no longer than six weeks in duration.

EVENT OR COMPETITION SPONSORSHIP AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any sponsorship, partnership or any support within an official capacity of an event, competition or league.

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that has used experiential marketing to create a closer bond with the target audience, whether that be to promote a key message or a change in customer behaviour, drive customer loyalty, acquisition or more. The experience should either directly involve or be closely observed by the target audience in a physical scenario.

FAN OR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AWARD WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that can demonstrate an engaged fan base or community. The engagement can take place through physical experiences, digitally or both.

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any partnership, sponsorship (including in-kind or supplier), endorsement, or co-operation with a team or individual whether they be an elite sportsperson, an influencer or high profile personality.

INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that has delivered a standout campaign connected to sport in at least three different countries around the world, demonstrating originality across multiple marketing disciplines.

MEDIA CONTENT AWARD

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any consumer-facing media organisation that has covered a professional sport event. Entries will be accepted from media organisations that have live rights or use other means to cover sport whether it be written, audio, visual content or a combination. Entrants can include work produced on their own outlet as well as work shown or published across other third party platforms.

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any sport organisation that oversees a sport or sports property and is likely a rights holder or member organisation. Entrants could be i) national governing bodies or international federations ii) clubs or teams iii) leagues or championships iv) venues or stadia.

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any organisation that has delivered a standout campaign connected to sport, which has reverberated through the industry, demonstrating originality across multiple marketing disciplines.

YOUNG AGENCY OF THE YEAR

WHO SHOULD ENTER? This award is open to any agency that has been operating for less than four years (actively trading and operating no earlier than 1st December 2014) and has a maximum of 35 full-time employees.

For the purposes of this category, the founded date refers to when the organisation first started trading, rather than when it is first registered at Companies House, however full clarity on all relevant dates should be included within the entry.
