Renovate India (RI) is a Social Enterprise
that began its operations in the year 2015
from Mumbai, focusing on Grassroots Non
Government Organisations (NGOs) and
Community Based Organisations (CBOs).
The enterprise recognizes the immense
potential that Grassroots NGOs and CBOs
have in bringing about social change. These
change-makers are largely those who belong
to the communities they work for, thus,
having greater understanding of the ongoing
issues as well. Their close association with
the community becomes an added advantage
in thinking through possible solutions to
unresolved issues.
Renovate India takes such organisations
under its wings by offering a range of
services that help improve the
organisational skills and build systems to
ensure sustainability.

RI through its LDP has introduced the
concept of ‘Glocal’ where the ‘Global’ is
brought down to the ‘Locals’. RI
endeavours to build capacities of
Grassroots NGOs through practical
workshops and trainings. It aims at
providing a global view to the
organisations that work locally, in order to
help them adapt, align and approach the
ways of solving local issues in doable
ways.
RI began with the thought of reaching out
to people in the development sector with
information and updates that could prove
to be useful to them. RI noticed the lack of
connectivity when it came to people
working in the development sector and
thought of launching a platform to
circulate the ongoings and legal updates
regarding their work.
