Program Guidelines Awards & Recognition


1. Employees should place their gift order with their Department, Division, or Branch’s contact. 2. Employees may choose a gift from a lesser category than they qualify. 3. Employees are entitled to one gift only. 4. Please allow approximately 3 weeks for delivery from date ordered on non-personalized products, subject to availability. 5. Please allow approximately 6 weeks for delivery from date ordered on personalized products, subject to availability.

Treasury Board General Manual of Administration Employee Appreciation Guidelines

Departments are authorized to spend a limited amount of public funds on appreciation activities. For retirement and long service awards, the amounts are as follows:

Retirements With a minimum of 15 years of service A framed certificate

A gift valued at no more than $5 per year of service. [e.g. 15 years = $75; 40 years = $200]

Long Service Benchmarks of 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service A framed certificate

An item from page 14 of the Awards & Recognition Catalogue (maximum value of alternative item $50.)

Items can be sent back to MDA for exchange or refund within 10 business days from the date of your event. Please call Client Services at 204-945-1614.
