Welcome to the 4th Egyptian International Trauma Conference – ETC 2017It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Egyptian International Trauma conference 2017, held in Cairo from October 12th - 13th, 2017. The conference co-hosted by Al Galaa Military Medical Complex and Egyptian ambulance organization in collaboration with the Egyptian Trauma Society (EgTS). The main objective of this conference is to exchange ideas, experiences and lessons learned about the role of internationally accepted systems and protocols in the field of trauma care, mass causality incidents, and disasters. Trauma causes a significant health burden both globally and in Egypt, and affects mainly the young population disproportionately. However, improved trauma care has reduced mortality and morbidity arising from accidents. In this respect, the need to improve and promote high standard trauma care in Egypt has developed the idea of this Trauma Conference This meeting will enlighten us regarding all issues we come across from scene to full recovery. There will be a highlight on what’s new in pre-hospital medical care? Simulation in major trauma team training, Trauma teamwork: The human factors and many more. The congress will also include various pre-conference trauma and critical care related workshops. Therefore this conference aims at bringing all specialists in the field of trauma care and allied specialties together. The conference will bring together delegates and distinguished eminent speakers from across the world. Such a big event would be incomplete without the active participation of various national and international societies/ Associations/ Groups/ NGO’s working for the care of the injured. We solicit active participation of all such societies and collaboration by bringing in their members as delegates and faculty to this international event. We are looking forward to your enthusiastic participation. We will ensure that you have a pleasant experience and great time in Cairo. I wish you all a productive and meaningful conference. Thank you.
