Our Volleyball team challenged Summit Charter, Wonderful College, Granite Hills and also attended the Cutler Orosi Tournament on September 7, 2019. The Volleyball team walked away with some wins, great job “AZTECS!” This year the Aztecs have the biggest team in Aztec history in Cross Country and a competitive one as well. The Cross Country Team started their season at Monache for the Randy Quiram invitational. On September 11, 2019 our Cross Country team traveled to Lindsay for another meet. Our Aztecs continued to shine In Lindsay where several of our runners set new school records. Anahi Avila set a new school record of 21:54, Daniela Garcia new record of 22:06 and Diana Camberos record was 22:08. Also Roberto Julian set a personal record of 52 seconds. Our Football team traveled to Orange Cove on Sept. 6, as our Aztecs came prepared to play but fell short to Orange Cove 28-42. Our Quarterback Rudy Navarro (Soph) did a great job with 4 touchdown; 2 of those he made himself and had total of 227 yards for the night. Anthony Salinas (F) Receiver had 4 a catches for the night with 2 touchdowns and a total of 109 yards. Chris Polanco (S) Linebacker had a total of 2 solo sacks in the night. September 11, 2019 is a day of remembrance. This day is now a special tradition that the Farmersville High School Aztecs hold “pride” in. September 11, 2019 was a spectacular day as we honored our First Responders, Military of all branches and the many individuals that perished on that tragic day. Our students dressed in patriotic attire and had the opportunity to learn the history of September 11, 2001. We the “Aztecs” of Farmersville High School would like to take a moment and express our gratitude to these amazing heroes, “Thank You. “ONE CHILD, ONE TEACHER, ONE BOOK, ONE PEN CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.” -MALALA YOUSAFZAI Emily Koop, Principal Chris Sanchez, Asst. September 2019

The month of September started off with many of our FHS Athletes participating in several sports.

Our Volleyball team challenged Summit Charter, Wonderful College, Granite Hills and also attended

the Cutler Orosi Tournament on September 7, 2019. The Volleyball team walked away with some

wins, great job “AZTECS!” This year the Aztecs have the biggest team in Aztec history in Cross

Country and a competitive one as well. The Cross Country Team started their season at Monache

September 2019

El mes de Septiembre comenzó con varios de nuestros atletas de FHS que participaron en varios deportes.

Nuestro equipo de voleibol desafió a Summit Charter, Wonderful College, Granite Hills y también asistió al

torneo Cutler Orosi el 7 de Septiembre de 2019. El equipo de voleibol se fue con algunas victorias, buen trabajo

"AZTECS". Este año, los aztecas tienen el equipo más grande en historia Azteca en Cross Country y competitiva

también. El equipo de Cross Country comenzó su temporada en Monache para la invitación Randy Quiram. El

11 de Septiembre de 2019, nuestro equipo de Cross Country viajó a Lindsay para otra reunión. Nuestros aztecas

continuaron brillando en Lindsay, donde varios de nuestros corredores establecieron nuevos récords escolares.

Anahi Ávila estableció un nuevo récord escolar de 21:54, Daniela García el nuevo récord de 22:06 y el récord de

Diana Camberos fue 22:08. También Roberto Julián quien estableció un récord personal de 52 segundos.

Nuestro equipo de fútbol viajó a Orange Cove el 6 de septiembre, ya que nuestros aztecas vinieron preparados

para jugar pero se quedaron cortos ante Orange Cove 28-42. Nuestro mariscal de campo Rudy Navarro (Soph)

hizo un gran trabajo con 4 anotaciones y 2 de las que hizo él mismo y tuvo un total de 227 yardas por la noche.

El receptor Anthony Salinas (F) tuvo 4 atrapadas por la noche con 2 touchdowns y un total de 109 yardas. Chris

Polanco (S) Linebacker tuvo un total de 2 capturas en solitario en la noche.

El 11 de Septiembre de 2019 es un día de recuerdo. Este día especial es ahora una tradición especial en la que

los aztecas de la High School secundaria de Farmersville estamos “orgullosos”. El 11 de Noviembre de 2019 fue

un día espectacular ya que honramos a nuestros primeros respondedores, militares de todas las ramas y las

muchas personas que perecieron en ese día trágico . Nuestros estudiantes se vistieron con un atuendo

patriótico y tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender la historia del 11 de Septiembre de 2001. A nosotros, los

"aztecas" de Farmersville High School, nos gustaría tomar un momento y expresar nuestra gratitud a estos

increíbles héroes, "Gracias.

"UN NIÑO, UN MAESTRO, UN LIBRO, UNA PLUMA PUEDEN CAMBIAR EL
