DIRECTMOUNTINGOFTHESERiES 70 on bRaY ValVESBray actuators mount directly to Brayvalves without using any externallinkage. Field installation is simpleand misalignment is minimized. Forsanitary processing and outdoorapplications, the Bray direct mount-ing system reduces the possibility ocontamination buildup or corrosionbetween the valve and actuator. Themounting pattern complies with ISO

5211 and VDI/VDE 3845 (NAMURrecommendations). Standard rota-tion is 90 reversible. Bray can providelinkages or mounting the Series 70 toother devices requiring 90 rotation. Please consult the Bray actory orurther inormation.

The Series 70 compared to a typicalactuator, both mounted to 4" Bray valves.

MECHANICALTRAVELSTOPSStainless steel mechanical travelstops permit precise eld adjust-ment o actuator movement tospecic degrees o rotation. Thetravel stops are located outside thebase or easy readjustment withoutremoving the cover. Stainless steellock nuts with O-ring seals hold thetravel stops securely in place. Thetravel stops are normally set at theactory to allow 0 and 90 travel.

    (a) Bray has provided two SPDTmechanical switches as standard. These durable, high quality switchesare mechanically isolated and electri-cally independent. The dedicated

circuits eliminate any voltage cross-over between the switches. Thisswitch combination is used or bothopen and closed positions o thevalve and requires only one cam oreach direction o valve travel. Braysdesign provides synchronicitybetween motor control and positiondisplay. Switches are easily accessiblewithout intererence rom othercomponents. Each switch is markedwith open or close labels and the

cams are color coded, green or openand red or close, eliminating the pos-sibility o making wrong adjustmentso travel limits or eld wiring errors.

AUXILIARYSWITCHES(o)Independent dry-contact SPDTmechanical switches are available toindicate travel position to remotecustomer control systems.

    aUtoMatic poWERCUTOUTSWITCH(b)

The Series 70 is supplied with a SPDT

mechanical switch which cuts powerto the motor when the handwheelis engaged or manual operation. This switch also unctions as a saetyemergency shutdown device thatimmediately stops the actuatormotor even i electrical power isstill being applied to the actuator.

    cERtiFicationS / appRoValS

Bray has gained UL, CSA and CE cer-tications on most intermittent andcontinuous duty actuators. These cer-

tications insure that the Series 70 hasbeen designed to the highest qual-ity requirements and most stringentsaety standards worldwide. Substan-tial resources have been invested

to assure our customers that the

Series 70 is the best actuator on themarket and will remain so.
