Due to the digital camera invented, we could picture many beautiful photos and delete the photos which we don’t like it at all. Then, we post our favorite photos on the internet, sharing with our friends or other users. Because of the reason, I want to compare different of photo albums on the internet.

I pick up several famous albums on the internet for my research. 1. FACEBOOK 2. Flickr 3. PCHOME album 4. Picasa (Google) 5. Wretch.  

Nowadays, the internet has become more and more popular than before. Many kinds of style of website design attract many users. And we can see lots of companies have been creating their own website. Most large famous websites we know, for example, Yahoo, Google, HINET, have setting up their homepage. And surely, these websites are really convenient for us. The most interesting part of these websites is the photo album. User can share their interesting or memorable photos on it. Some have upload limitation, other are limitless. I want to analyze these online photo albums.

1. Where are these albums from?

FACEBOOK album comes from FACEBOOK. It’s a function of FACEBOOK website. FACEBOOK is a sharing website all over the world. The main function of FACEBOOK is sharing your status on it. And this “photos” is just one of the function.

Wretch album comes from Wretch website. This album likes FACEBOOK album. Wretch album is a function of wretch website. This album has upload limitation. If you want more capacity, you need to pay for it. 

PCHOME album comes from PCHOME website. Unlike Wretch and FACEBOOK album, it’s an independent function page. You can share 200MB every month!

Flickr album, It’s an original photo sharing website. All the function has is just sharing the photos or the video.

Picasa is belongs to Google website. At first, this system has a basic function --- revise the photos! And now, you can upload on the Picasa Web Album.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of these albums?

After compare these albums, I find out which album is better than others. Unquestionably, every album has their convenient function. I believe that all of these website companies are totally think about the user. They set up these pages which base on the user’s convenience. In my opinion, these albums are a great sharing space for the users. I think the best website album is the PCHOME album. There is no limitation, and you can upload any picture you want. And the photo’s pixels would not reduce because of limitless capacity. If you want to add some photos on your blog, you can embed external photos which from PCHOME album on it’s a good album for every to use it.
