Program Features
The objective o a power ow program is to analyze the steady-
state perormance o the power system under various operating
conditions. It is the basic analysis tool or the planning, design
and operation o any electrical power systems, be they
distribution, industrial or transmission networks.
CYMFLOW utilizes state-o-the-art sparse matrix/vector
methods and multiple solution algorithms:
Full Newton-Raphson•
Fast Decoupled•
Gauss-Seidel•
CYMFLOW is the main CYME module or the analysis o
industrial and transmission power systems, and it has a
seamless interace with other modules such as:
CYMFAULT to communicate the pre-ault voltage profle,•
current ows and transormer tap positions, or ault studiestaking into account pre-ault system loading
CYMHARMO to communicate the undamental requency•
voltages and currents or harmonic distortion indicescalculations
CYMSTAB to communicate the initial condition o the•
system as required or transient stability studies The Motor Starting module to account or system wide•
voltage drops during motor start
