Timothy Berneche served as Project Architect withFanning/Howey Associates, Inc., Michigan City, Indiana. Theproject began as a simple fifteen classroom addition to a 1965building. Further design study revealed a benefit of convertingthe existing library into science classrooms and adding on a new

the existing library into science classrooms and adding on a newlibrary and administrative wing. This allowed all science labs tobe grouped together. New Music and Drama Classrooms wereadded. Curves of the addition minimize lost parking andmodernized the boxy look. A curved canopy defines entry, provides sunshade for library windows, and unifies the highschool with a new daycare wing. The curved music/drama wing

maximizes available land by following a curved road. Interiorwork included renovation of all classrooms, industrial tech wingoverhaul, and ADA compliance to all existing areas.
