ESPN qualifier setfor Wild Turkey Trace
Who has the best golfing twosome in the area? How does that team stack up against the best from other locales?
The ESPN National Golf Challenge qualifying tournament will be held at Wild Turkey Trace Golf Course on Saturday, June 23. First tee time is set for 1 p.m.
The event is being promoted by ESPN and The Golf Channel.
The tournament is set up for two-somes which can be two women, two men or one man and one woman with an entry fee of $80 per player.
Three divisions – gross, net, and senior – will be contested. If a mini-mum of 30 teams enter, $200 will be awarded to the winning team in each division, with $100 to the second place team in the net division. Players in the net and senior divisions must have USGA handicaps.
Five teams may advance to the regional tournaments to be held throughout the United States, with the finals set for Las Vegas in October.
To register or request more informa-tion, contact Rocky Schooley at the course by e-mailing [email protected].
