Mustangs take part in Sisseton Twilight meet by John Suhr [email protected] Mustangs track coach Bruce Spindler said his girl tracksters are really banged up and not healthy as they see some old inju- ries from the basketball season reappearing as they participated in the Sisseton Twilight meet May 4. Girls results Livia Tomas took 17th in the 100M at 14.28, Mar- ga Block 38th at 15.75, Eliz- abeth Neugebauer 40th at 15.8. Tomac took 14th in the 200M 31.14 and Zoey Wohl- leber 22nd at 32.28. Wohlleber was 15th in the 400 and Tasha Zirbel 22nd at 1:20.06. Makayla Zirbel was sixth in the 800M at 2:46.72. Victoria Zirbel took second in the 3200M run at 13:22.09. The 4x200 relay placed 15th at 2:12.73 and the 4x800 relay of Makayla Zirbel, Sammy Swanson, Zoey Wohlleber and Vic- toria Zirbel took eighth at 11:40.56. In the 200M Matthew Amdahl was fourth at 24.84, Tate Gaikowski ninth at 25.52, Seth Gai- kowski 30th at 28.19 and Rush larson 44th at 32.47. Amdahl took 11th in the 400M and Darius Small 21st at 1:03.76. Colby Rumpza was ninth in the 800M and Niles Lecroy 29th at 2:47.47. Travis Purdy was 21st in the 1600M in 5:50.66, Aaron Neugebauer 26th at 6:08.85 and Justin Zirbel 30th at 6:37.45. The 4x100 relay squad took 16th at 58.79, the 4x200 10th at 1:44.29, the 4x800 ninth in 12:06.47. The medley relay made up of Matt Amdahl, Colby Rumpza, Tate Gai- kowski, Travis Purdy took fourth at 4:08.11. Tyler Arend tossed the shot for 22nd at 36’0.75” and the discus 117’6” for eighth place. Chemical, biological, and/or cultural control methods used for the suppression, control and eradication of noxious weed and declared pest infestations shall be those approved for such purposes by Day County Weed and Pest Supervisor, County Extension Educator or the South Dakota State University Experiment Station. Upon failure to observe this notice, the county weed and pest board is required to proceed pursuant to the law and have the noxious weeds or declared pests destroyed by such methods as they may find necessary, the expense of which shall constitute a lien and be entered as a tax against the land, and be collected as other real estate taxes are collected, or by other means as provided by law. Plant and animals designated as being noxious weeds and declared pests in the state of South Dakota are leafy spurge, salt cedar, perennial sow thistle, Russian knapweed, hoary cress, Canada thistle, purple loosestrife, gypsy moth and mountain pine beetle. In addition, yellow toadflax, field bindweed, musk thistle, bull thistle and absinth wormwood sage have been approved by the South Dakota Weed and Pest Control Commission as locally noxious weeds and are subject to the same suppression, control and eradication requirements as the before mentioned plants and animals. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that upon establishing probable cause to believe a noxious weed or declared pest infestation exists upon any property in Day County, a representative of the Day County Weed and Pest Board will enter upon said property for the purpose of inspecting and confirming that such infestation actually exists. Transportation of plant products containing weed seed is a misdemeanor. It is a Class 2 misdemeanor for any person to transport hay, livestock feeds or other plant products containing weed seed in such a manner as may constitute a substantial risk of contaminating fields or other lands.
