    Purpose and Audience

book.bk Page 1 Monday, September 21, 1998 10:24 AMThis publication is intended for NCR personnel or NCR

customer personnel who are responsible for the installation of an NCR ATM or terminal fitted with the 1TEC 40 Column Thermal Printers Installation Manual Supplement

    new 40 column thermal printer.

The function of this Installation Manual Supplement is to show installation personnel how to install and configure the new 40 column thermal receipt and journal printers.

    Identifying the New Thermal Printers

The new 40 column thermal printers are functionally the

book.bk Page 2 Monday, September 21, 1998 10:24 AMTEC 40 Column Thermal Printers Installation Manual Supplement

same as and replace the existing 40 column thermal printers. There are several versions of the new printer but all can be easily distinguished from the old printers by the cover panel on the side the new printers have a metal cover, the old printers have a black, plastic cover.

Refer to the following illustrations to identify the installed printer.

SDC Receipt and Journal printersThe printer assembly will look similar to this when both modules are fitted. Versions exist with only one printer module but the cover shown below is the same in all three versions.
