Introduction Dear Student Welcome to BA (Hons) Fine Art. You will soon be joining a dynamic and exciting degree course with an excellent reputation for student achievement and professionalism. When you arrive, there will be a number of essentials which have to be covered during the first week, such as enrolment, but we intend to make that first week an interesting and enjoyable introduction to the course and the Arts University Bournemouth. You will be starting on practical work in the studio from day two. You will need materials for making notes and a basic art box. During induction week the staff team will show you around the campus and introduce you to a range of information about the course and show some slides of their work and talk briefly about their own practice. We want to offer you the best support while you are with us. If you have a disability or additional needs, please discuss any matter confidentially with Barry Gilbert, our Senior Disability Officer, by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01202 363291. We hope you have a very enjoyable summer. Please try to visit any exhibitions you can, especially contemporary or modern art. Make notes and reflect upon what you have seen. If you have any questions about the course or the start of the new term, you can contact the Faculty Office on 01202 363324 or email [email protected] / [email protected]. Best wishes, The Course Team.
