Brian Hoffman, Organist

BiographyBrian Hoffman is a church organist & recitalist residing in New York's Capital District.He began studying the piano and organ at age 4 and became a church organist at age 11.He has studied with numerous teachers in organ, piano, harpsichord, and composition,and is a teacher to many students in those areas as well. He is currently Organist andChoirmaster at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Troy, NY where he conducts the semi­professional choir in sacred music from the Medieval Period through the 21st Century. Acomposer as well, he has written 5 Masses (Rite 1) and numerous sacred choral anthems as wellas much organ music. As a recording artist, he recently released a CD of the organ masterworksof Cesar Franck. As a recitalist, he has performed over 100 organ recitals throughout the

Bach "24"

Bach "24" is a combination of Brian Hoffman's recitals and recording sessions of the

complete 24 Preludes & Fugues of J.S. Bach. The recital series will consist of 30 recitalsthroughout the Northeast U.S .. Each recital will feature several ofthe Preludes & Fugues,and each program will be different from the next. At the end of the recital tour, a CD setwill be released containing the 24 Preludes and Fugues for Organ, on 24 different organs.Today's recital is the seventh recital in the series.
