”I enjoy teaching marketing in the BIB Program! Since the program is professionally-oriented I can give my best at sharing my experience with the students. I am more than happy to invite some professionals from my network into our classroom or even visit companies. Having been an expatriate for 10 years, I enjoy the international atmosphere of the class and the intercultural learning experience. I believe this program is unique in France and designed to be highly competitive on the international market.”

“Before joining IÉSEG, I was living in Malmö, Sweden, where I completed an International Baccalaureate. I chose IÉSEG because of its international focus and its location in France. I felt it was important to come back to my home country for a few years and build a network. I chose the Bachelor in International Business (BIB) program because I was looking to study business in English and with a strong international perspective. I also liked the fact that a three-year program would then give me the opportunity to specialize in a business-related discipline at the Master’s level.

I have really appreciated the interaction with professors, as well as the opportunity to learn about my international classmates’ different cultures. One of my favorite courses this semester has been ‘the essentials of selling’, which combines practical and theoretical elements. I have also enjoyed Business Law, as I have already learnt a lot about the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of doing business in real life.

There is always something happening on campus and France has so much to offer, especially culturally. Lille is also a very young city that is very ‘dynamic’ and has many green spaces and parks which is really nice.”

Our Bachelor in International Business program has been designed and built to allow our students to join the labor market after three years of studies. At the end of the program, graduates can enter the workforce with a running start and be operational immediately.

The program also allows students to choose to continue their studies in any institution in the world. At IÉSEG, BIB students can apply to the Master Grande École or one of our specialized Masters of Science:

• Fashion Management• Business Analysis & Consulting• International Business Negotiation• Finance• Investment Banking & Capital Markets• International Accounting, Audit & Control• Big Data Analytics for Business• Digital Marketing & CRM

Business Game is a simulation implemented each year in the BIB program. The objective is to allow students to put into practice the courses and knowledge acquired during the year. The tool gives students practical experience in managing various aspects of businesses in an evolving economic environment. The goal of the teamwork (of 3-4 students) is to manage the operating, market, and financial performance of a business in a competitive market with variations in the economic conditions. It is also to develop a holistic view of business operations including finance, investments, marketing, sales, human resources, capacity management, etc.

Students appreciate the understanding and command of business fundamentals, market-driven decision-making practices in a services environment, and the ability to set up appropriate strategies. For future managers, it is important to be able to use analytical decision-making and to evaluate the financial implications and performance of business decisions.

During the master Cycle, students have to complete a final thesis (or dissertation) or a consulting project. The objectives are to develop analytical, research and organizational skills related to real situations. It aims to show students’ aptitude to work on complex problems, the results of their research and suggested solutions.

> Entrepreneurship Consulting ProjectWith the Entrepreneurship Consulting Project, students develop a detailed project to create a new company and a full business plan, under the guidance of a pool of academic and professional experts. At the end of the semester, they present their concept to a jury of experts.A significant number of these projects actually become start-up businesses either when the student graduates or in the following years.

> Innovation Consulting ProjectWith the Innovation Consulting Project, students have the opportunity to work with engineering students from Yncréa Hauts-de-France.These are real innovation projects (for example, products or services, or a corporate reorganization process) that have been entrusted to the engineering students, and those from IÉSEG, by companies or organizations. The projects implement key concepts such as co-development, transdisciplinarity, collective intelligence, creativity and codesign. They allow students to acquire multiple skills, as they are confronted with real-life business challenges (time constraints, cost, and working within a multidisciplinary team, etc).

Students are responsible for writing a thesis, which involves in-depth personal research, all the while benefiting from the assistance of their thesis supervisor. In this way, they reflect upon and develop a specific issue extensively. The research that goes into a thesis surpasses the framework of an individual case or situation. Students can choose to work on a particular case and to add a general dimension to it, or they can choose a broader issue, which they illustrate through precise examples.

Students of the Grande École Program in the Master Cycle have the opportunity to take part in consulting projects in business, or, either in entrepreneurship or in innovation.

> Business Consulting ProjectConsulting projects are educational work where students (either alone or in pairs) hold a position as consultant for a company. They will work on a specific aspect for one semester and their objective will be to provide an external perspective and fresh ideas so that the company may make progress on projects in France and across the globe.

CAREER CENTER

TALENT program

mock interviews

The TALENT program refers to the whole support system for the construction of the professional project of IÉSEG students.

TALENT allows students to question their professional orientation and identify their target market. During workshops with Career Coaches, students will determine, via specific tools and tests, their personal and professional motivations and values.

The TALENT program continues to enhance students’ personal and professional reflection to allow them to have the necessary tools to effectively enter the professional world. Workshops are led by certified Career Coaches, HR and recruitment professionals.

Workshops include various topics such as: • Improving your resume; • How to communicate successful stories; • Personality and motivation tests; • Building your pitch; • How to network; • Skills assessments, etc.

The Career Center organizes mock interviews in English and French with partner companies several times per semester.

These ‘mock interviews’ are 30-minute, one-to-one sessions between the student and a facilitator, in order to help the student to improve his/her CV and receive feedback on the pitch.

At IÉSEG, we believe that a successful student is one who flourishes. The IÉSEG Career Center strives to help everyone find their way both personally and professionally.

more information: www.ieseg.fr/en/student-services/career-center/

meet companiesand develop your personal network

In addition, IÉSEG and IÉSEG Network organize business conferences and networking evenings with international managers, on both campuses, who present their job and career path.

Each student can therefore benefit from detailed knowledge on various businesses and organizations to better define their own professional project.

Moreover, several career fairs, lectures, company visits and student/business challenges are organized on a regular basis so that students can gradually form their own professional network.

Students can also benefit from individual coaching sessions, at their request, to clarify and enrich their professional project and career plan.

Finally, the IÉSEG Career Center allows our students to know more about: • market and business cultures; • their personality, interests and motivations; • necessary skills and know-how.

IÉSEG Network is also in contact with alumni to get internship and job offers, internationally and in France.

HOuSING & INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES

Living abroad can be fun and adventurous at the same time. We are here to help you make this experience as smooth as possible. One of the key strengths of IÉSEG is the importance it places on international activities and its expertise in student mobility. Our dedicated International Student Services team is always available to assist you with any questions before and during your studies here in France.

The IÉSEG student residence is located within 15 minutes’ walking distance for the Lille campus only. However, we also provide other affordable housing options for both campuses, such as private residences, private housing, apartment sharing, etc.

Approximate cost of housing, depending on type of housing and duration of stay:Lille: between 450 and 800 EuR/monthParis: between 500 and 1200 EuR/month

Most international students in France have access to a housing subsidy provided by the French Government, which reimburses part of the rent paid each month. The amount varies from €30 up to €200 depending on several criteria, such as the address, the amount of rent, etc.

Other services provided by our team include support for the visa and residence procedures, health insurance, etc.

ORIENTATION WEEK

Every year our International Student Services Department, in coordination with the studies department, organizes an Orientation Week for international students just before the start of the school term.

During this week, students are introduced to IÉSEG and its facilities, the program that they have chosen to study, the staff in charge of their teaching/schedule, IT procedures, the public transportation system, and different administrative procedures such as, accessing a goverment housing subsidy, opening a bank account, etc.

International students are also provided with tips and guidelines on how to successfully integrate into the school, the city and the country. Social events are also organized by the International Club during this week and these events provide students with a great opportunity to break the ice, meet other students and make new friends.
