Develop practical skillsInternships, professional placements, field trips and projects are all central to the JCU Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Events. From your first semester, you will participate in Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) to prepare you for a fast-paced industry. In real-world settings, you will develop the ability to focus on strategic management and sustainable leadership as you work with key stakeholders to acquire and convey knowledge and goals effectively.

Professional Practice MinorKickstart your career by earning a Professional Practice Minor in Tourism, Hospitality, and Events Management. Maximise your placement opportunities and sharpen your professional skills through a focus on vocational training and developing industry-relevant skill sets. You’ll gain the experience to stand out in the workplace.

Be equipped with the skills you need to work in the world’s leading businesses, from hotels and resorts to casinos and the tourism industry. Living on-campus is a great way to make the most of your time at JCU. With a new complex for 300 students at JCU Cairns, living on-campus is a great place to make new friends and immerse yourself into the JCU culture. All rooms at our on-campus residences are single board, with a single bed, study desk, chair, fan, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.
