Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry
An academic programme offering great promise for your professional careerThe Faculty of Dentistry in the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya trains professionals to become capable of dealing with the prevention, the treatment and rehabilitation of oral and dental diseases based on sound criteria and technical skill. The solid academic education provided in the Faculty is complemented by intensive practical experience in the University Dental Clinic from the first year onwards.
The UIC's Faculty of Dentistry is located on our Sant Cugat campus, on the ground floor of the Hospital General de Catalunya. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences can also be found on this campus, as well as a wide variety of postgraduate, master's and doctoral programmes related to these areas.
“I had the opportunity to study both my degree in Dentistry and my Master's at the UIC, where I met a lot of people from different parts of the world. I later realised that I had acquired a high standard of clinical training here and we now continue to work towards improving this."

Characteristics of the Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry
The keys to our differencePractical trainingPractical experience is essential in terms of educating our students, not only because it allows them to put into practice all the knowledge they have learned in class, but also because professional dentists are provided to act as their tutors.
FacilitiesStudents are able to enjoy facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology so that they can take full advantage of their practical training.
Resources· 56 booths for dental practice, 6 booths for specialised surgical clinics and two booths that
are adapted for special patients. They are all equipped with x-ray machines and an internet connection so that x-rays can be checked online.
· An integrated television screen to broadcast operations. · Two diagnosis rooms with image recognition facilities, where orthopantomograms can be
carried out, as well as lateral and frontal teleradiographies of the skull where there is also a system for collecting images, and CT scans.
· Electronic storage in order to deliver and collect material. · Service to sterilise the tools and equipment used. · Prosthetic laboratory for student’s practicums’.· Prosthetic laboratory for continuous education courses (on prosthetics, endodontics, and
aesthetics, etc). · Research and innovation laboratory. · Endodontic microscopes. · An ossuary and dissection laboratory.· Latest generation infrastructure that has recently arrived in the dental sector, such as
the acquisition of an i-CAT cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) machine and others obtained through usage provided by important commercial companies, complement and help to achieve good teaching quality and care in our University Dental Clinic (CUO).
Inclusion into the labour marketKnowledge and mastery of instrumental skills by students is fundamental in order to ensure their inclusion into the labour market.
