Rainy Day Policy Clarified...

If it is raining at 2:30 and your child normal-ly walks, your child will be automatically placed in the CAR RIDER waiting area (the sidewalk by the back drive). We will not put your child at risk from rain, or more im-portantly, LIGHTNING, by allowing him/her to walk in the rain. Sometimes, we never know until the last minute, so please bear with us as we determine what’s best for all of our chil-dren. Thanks!

August’s ADA Car Riders

Attention Parents, Students may begin arriving on campus at 7:00 a.m., and the tardy bell rings at 7:28. After this time, a student MUST be signed into the front office by an adult. Please do not drop off any children on the back porch or front porch at 7:28 or after. A parent will need to drive to the front porch and physically sign in his/her child in the front office. In the mornings, Bayou View Elementary has more and more parents dropping children off in the back porch right at 7:28 when teachers are leaving their duty posts. Unfortunate-ly, the students are tardy and will need to be checked into the front office. To decrease late drop offs, please plan on leaving your house five minutes earlier, so there is no mad rush to get your children to school by the tardy bell. Please get them here prior to 7:28.
