The PTO holds monthly meetings to keep members informed of school happenings, district news, and other pertinent information. To accommodate all families, we have daytime and nighttime meetings. We encourage everyone to attend. Class Coordinators are required to attend, and to send a summary to the parents of their class.

Membership: We encourage everyone tojoin the PTO and be involved. As a paid member, you can vote on many PTO issues. PTO dues are only $5.00 per family per school year. The funds raised by the PTO are used for planners, field trips, assemblies and other activities that benefit our children. Send in your envelope today!

Volunteering: Without your participation, we cannot put on over 30 events every year and fundraise thousands of dollars to support all these great things that our kids love and that give them a strong educational foundation. There are many ways to get involved. Give just a few hours to staff an event. Build your own skills by chairing a committee. Bring your ideas and energy to our meetings. Help out in an area where you have expertise, like marketing or finance. It’s up to you how much time to give, but it is truly rewarding and can make a world of difference to our children. Fall  Box  Tops  Contest  &  Raffle  September  12  –  October  14  

Our Fall Box Tops Contest & Raffle begins on Monday, September 12. The  top  three  classes  that  collect  the  most  Box  Tops  by  Friday,  October  14,  win  an  ice  cream  party.    Students  who  participate  may  also  enter  the  Fall  Box  Tops  Raffle  by  completing  the  entry  form  below  and  returning  it  to  school  with  their  Box  Tops  (limit  one  entry  per  student).    One  winner  from  each  grade  will  be  drawn  to  receive  a  raffle  prize.    Please  remember:    Box  Tops  and  Bonus  Certificates  must  include  a  visible  expiration  date.    Expired  Box  Tops  and  coupons  from  other  programs  will  not  be  counted.    Box  Tops  are  worth  ten  cents  each  and  Bonus  Certificates  are  worth  more.    Ask  your  friends  and  family  to  collect  Box  Tops  too.    It  adds  up  as  free  cash  for  our  school.    Please  visit  the  Box  Tops  link  on  the  PTO  website  for  a  current  list  of  participating  products  and  to  access  the  Box  Tops  website  (www.btfe.com).    Sign  up  to  support  Howard  C.  Johnson  Elementary  and  learn  about  additional  ways  to  earn  cash  for  our  school.
