Conglomerate

- matrix of conglomerate is dark green and foliated- very chloritic and pyroxene rich- some rounded grains of qz can be noted- (matrix has the composition of a wacke)- foliation 23'- initially very little qz-carb veining- contains less than 1 7, py some cpy- great variety of fragments are present (quartz, chert,

jasper, also mafic volcanic detritus)- also present are fragments of magnetite, all fragments

have been elongated to some extent- many of the mofe felsic fragments are carbonatized V

(this may be the cause of the resistivity high throughthe area)

- at 10 feet .5 inch qz-carb stringer irregular- fragments range in size from a 10th of an inch to

several inches in diameter

- dark, green, fine grained matrix which is. probably awacke in composition

- composed predominantly of chlorite (and clay mineralswith fine round qz and feldspar)

- fragments are composed of a variety, rock types, chert,jasper, quartz, granite, and mafic volcanic detritus aswell; from lOths of an inch to several inches
