In short, BADIs is a forward-looking organisation for Birmingham-based ADIs who want to improve themselves and their businesses. Established in January 2000, BADIs (which stands for Birmingham ADIs) is open to any ADI, and anyone who wants to become an ADI, living or working in or near Birmingham. This makes it especially suitable for those starting out on an ADI career, who can benefit from the experience and advice of more experienced members. It is also ideal for more experienced ADIs, who can network and benefit from the varied expertise of fellow members. Unlike many other local ADI organisations, BADIs recognizes that the way to success is not by complaining, but by adopting a professional and positive approach to self-improvement, and by working constructively with the DVSA and others. Why should I join BADIs? You will meet a range of experienced and progressive ADIs, some working for large organizations, some in small partnerships, others on their own. We are friendly, and interact well, freely swapping our ideas and exchanging information. We meet up about six times a year, usually with a guest speaker, often from the DVSA. Talks are arranged on topics which members choose. BADIs is a not-for-profit body, run for the benefit of our members. We welcome all ideas, so that we can make sure we do what our members want. If you have an unusual problem or question, we can usually put you in touch with a member with relevant knowledge and expertise who can help. We operate our own web site (www.badis.uk). This includes many useful documents and resources (eg the DL25; DT1; ADI1; National Standards). There is also a page for fully qualified ADIs to promote their services to the public - which we can do for you even if you don’t have access to the internet. We run a Facebook page for members to interact FREE ADINJC Membership BADIs Members get FREE ADINJC Membership ADINJC Membership is normally £35.88 per year. ADINJC has over 7000 members and is democratic, you could join the governing committee and make a difference ADINJC Membership provides a safeguard that there is someone to offer help or advice if you need it, to liaise or negotiate with DVSA if you have a problem. ADINJC belong to NASP (National Associations Strategic Partnership) working with other ADI associations and liaising with DVSA & DfT. ADINJC provide a united voice for the industry ADINJC are in regular contact with DVSA and the Department for Transport, so they are able to represent your views, and help to make your voice heard. Other benefits of ADINJC Silver membership are: ADINJC monthly newsletter Website providing up to date information Regular news sent out as it happens via email Follow ADINJC on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook Large annual conference held in October in the Midlands with discounted prices for members

Who are BADIs?
