The Badu Speck brand has always had a reputation for quality and innovation, and have been involved in counter current technology from the beginning.

for installation, both in-ground (possibly in a pit right behind the pool wall) or in a plant room with inter-connecting pipes. Also on offer is the Badu Jet Impulse unit that can be used as a simple retro-fit unit in any type of swimming pool, or opening up a massive market is its potential for use on above ground pools. It is especially suited for the range of wooden pools manufactured by Plastica Ltd.

The Badu Jet Impulse unit is ideal for after market installation in any type of swimming pool construction. It sits on the coping or pool surround and the body drops into the pool below water level.Once primed the Badu Jet Smart unit produces a very impressive 45 m3 per hour continuously variable flow rate with a massage pressure of 1.8 bar from its 2.30 kW input/1.60 kW output Pump Unit.Both the above units also have air injection via a venture system and this is adjustable. All the controls can be operated from the front face of the units. The on/off switches are of the air button type and so keep any electrics away from the bather in the Swimming Pool.There is a range of extras available for both the above types of unit including Massage Hoses and Grab Rails.

Easy InstallationFor convenience the Espa Counter Current system is split into two pump sizes, a front jet kit which can be purchased separately and a plumbing kit. It is a high performance unit at a very competitive price.

As standard the Espa Counter Current System comes with metric pipe fitting. We recommend that the plumbing kit is ordered; this provides the flexible pipe and fittings required to install the unit in the most compact fashion, along with two isolating ball valves to assist in service and installation. The kit also includes a special flexible PVC pipe adhesive suitable for this application.

Powerful PerformanceThe Espa Counter Current Nadorself pump gives very good flow rates to challenge all levels of swimmers:

• Single phase pump: 3hp (2.3kW) provides 60m3/h• Three phase pump: 4hp (3.0kW) provides 70m3/h

For a complete installation you will need one pump, one front jet and one plumbing kit.

Do not be alarmed if you are not an Olympic standard swimmer, all the units available have a means of throttling down the output flow to a level you are comfortable with. It is also possible to induce and control air injection for a massage type effect.
