As it has been well-docu- mented, the Devils are on the lookout for new players. It is hoped there will be a game between Devils and Warriors who are the sleeping giants of the competition hav- ing beaten all three teams this season. Warriors have talent across the board with Tim Gibbons, Isaac Salei, Brendan Taylor- McInnes and the Goldsmith brothers, player/coach Hami and Amo at its disposal. Hami Goldsmith said the team has prepared tonight. “By the sounds of it they (Devils) got a few players avail- able which will be good.” The Warriors are at near full-strength and players have come through unscathed from the Alice Springs versus Dar- win NRL curtain-raiser last Saturday. Hami Goldsmith said Taylor-McInnes has adapted well to union but also hopes the Devils can muster at least nine of its own players. “If they can get nine or 10 of their own players, that would be awesome and just see out this year and hopefully they can recruit like the Warriors did this year,” he said. There is a silver lining for the Devils according to Hami Goldsmith who compared the Warriors of the last couple of years to the Devils’ 2013/14 plight. “I believe the Warriors in the last three years were strug- gling like the Devils,” he said. Warriors currently sit com- fortably in second spot on the ladder. Eagles will be needing to keep its top-two chances alive when it plays top side Cubs from 7.30pm.
