In"this"guide"we"offer"you"many"options"and"ideas"for"how"you"can"read"with"your"students."There"is"no"right"or"wrong"way"to"do"this."It"is"important"to"remember"2"things:"

1. Students"acquire"language"through"comprehensible"input."They"need"to"be"reading"and"it"needs"to"be"understandable"to"them.""

Many"teachers"simply"translate"the"text"with"the"students."Some"teachers"play"the"audio"CD"as"students"follow"along"in"their"own"text."Some"teachers"have"students"read"together"in"small"groups."The"authors"

of"this"Teacher’s"Guide"would"advocate"reading"in"a"variety"of"different"ways."You"may"even"find"that"some"classes"enjoy"reading"as"a"class"while"others"enjoy"reading"silently"on"their"own.""
