Yoghurt Cake - Ingredients
1 yoghurt3 pots of flour1 pot of sugar1 pot of oil3 eggsBaking powderMashed banana, chocolate chips, coco powder (all optional)
Yoghurt cake - Method
• Mix all the dry ingredients together• Add in the eggs• Mix well• Add in the oil• Mix until smooth batter• Put in a lined tin• Bake for 25 minutes at 170 degrees
Simple biscuits – Ingredients
• 225g butter (soft)• 110g caster sugar• 275g plain flour• Ground spice or lemon zest
Simple biscuits - Method
• Preheat the oven to 170 degrees• Cream the butter and add the sugar, beating until pale and fluffy• Sift in the flour and spices or grated zest and mix to form a firm dough• Using your hands, roll the dough into walnut sized balls and put them
on a baking tray.• Flatten them slightly with the back of a fork.• Bake for 13-15 minutes or until light golden brown
Berry Smoothie - Ingredients
• 8 strawberries or other berries • 110ml (4 fl oz) milk • 120g (4 oz) plain yoghurt • 3 tablespoons demerara sugar • 1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla extract • 6 cubes ice, crushed
Berry Smoothie - Method
• In a blender, combine strawberries, milk, yoghurt, sugar and vanilla.• Add the ice. • Blend until smooth and creamy. • Pour into glasses and serve
Scones – Ingredients
• 225g self raising flour• 1 x tsp baking powder• a pinch of salt• 55g x butter 50g x caster sugar• 150ml x milk• Some butter, jam or cream to serve
Scones - Method
• Pre-heat the oven to 220c• Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the bowl • Add the butter and using your finger tips, mix it into the flour until it breaks up into
small pieces • Add the sugar and milk and stir together until it begins to form a dough• Dust the worktop with a little flour and empty the dough onto it • Using your hands, gently form it into a ball and then press it down until it’s about 3cm
thick• Use the cutter to cut out the scone shapes and transfer to the (greased) baking tray • Bake for about 12 minutes or until they turn golden• Cut in half and serve with jam and cream
