Saving is always a hard thing to do. It especially doesn’t help if you’re a full time student making minimum wage at your on-campus job.
It’s a problem we’ve all faced: too many expenses and too little income. It may seem like you never have time to save. And every six months, we’re faced with a tuition bill of thousands of dollars to be accumulated to our never-ending loans.

We created Balance as a way to help students not only budget their money better, but also teach them to manage their money more efficiently.
Balance allows students to set their own goals, maintain their own budgets and learn to be responsible without feeling overwhelmed. We get dealing with money can be scary, but with Balance, we’ll teach you to conquer your savings.
We get savings don’t grow overnight, so we help you save where you can. Set your own goals and set your own pace: we’ll teach you how to save your money to pay for your next adventure.

Megan is a full-time students taking 18 credits. She’s currently a sophomore living in Blanton Hall and is struggling to balance her time between her lab schedule and her part-time job in the Student Center.
She wants to take on more hours at work, but doesn’t want it to affect her schoolwork. But she’s unsure of how to save up for the big trip her friends are planning for Spring Break.

While Megan wants to take on more hours working, the simpler solution may be that she needs to budget her money better, and cut down on her expenses. After a friend recommended Balance, Megan downloaded the app to find it was, in fact, the perfect solution to her money troubles. At the end of every month, she never understood how she’d spent so much money until she saw Balance outline all of her monthly expenses.
