(Paddy), Jowar, Cereals, Maize, Bengal Gram, Ground nut.

Horticulture crops –Onion, Chillies, Papaya, Grapes, Guava, Coriander, Pomegranate, Mosambi, Sapota, Banana, Mango, Fig, Coconut

Cash crops – Cotton, Sunflower, Coconut.

Ballari Thermal Power Station is the 2nd largest thermal plant in Karnataka generating 500 MW of power

TourismHampi is the heritage centre in Ballari, the Hampi utsava is organized every year and this attracts a lot of tourists from all over the World

Vijaya Vittal Temple, dating back to the Vijayanagar period, has 56 musical pillars and a stone chariot

Hazara Ramaswamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and it is known for its beautiful carvings and wall paintings

Patal Lingeswar Temple, erected around a lingam was uncovered by the British archaeologists during the last century

Large exploitable iron ore deposits estimated at 1032.4 million tons

Additional Projects• Power: KPCL has initiated action for

expansion of 650MW capacity Thermal Power generation plant “Ballari Thermal Power Station”, to additional power of 1000 MW near Kudithini village.

• Roads: Roads: NH-13 -connecting Bangalore to Sollapur passes through Kudligi and Hospet. NH-63 connecting Vijayawada to Karwar passes through Ballari, Torangallu and Hospet, SH-65 connecting Mysore to Bidar passes through Ballari and Sirguppa.
