Day 1 Oct 04

Hong Kong – Sarajevo (薩拉熱窩)( - , L , D )

Meet Connexus’s representative at HKIA and assist you for check in on Oct 03. Then, boarding at midnight and take the flight on Oct 04 at around 1 am to Sarajevo (transit in Doha), the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will arrive at Savajevo at local time 11:35 and join your tour leader Maggie and photojournalist Mr. Igor at Sarajevo airport.

Known as the Jerusalem of Europe, the city was once famous for its religious diversity. Sarajevo underwent the longest siege in modern military history during the Yugoslav War at mid-1990s. You will be transfer to Latin Bridge (拉丁橋)for the first sightseeing point, where the Austro-Hungarian Grand Duke was assassinated, regarded as the immediate catalyst for the First World War. Then, you will visit the Bascarsija (舊城區), built in the 15th century which is Sarajevo‘s old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. If time permits, you will also pay a visit to the Tunnel of Hope (隧道博物館), the rescue tunnel used during the four years of the besieged city during the war. Meal highlight: try some traditional Bosnian dishes and wine. Sarajevo (薩拉熱窩)- Prokosko Lake (普羅科斯科湖) (B , L , D)

Today, after about 1.5 hours drive to mountain area, you will be at Prokosko Lake (普羅科斯科

湖), nested at altitude of 1636m at Vranica mountain . As locals call it “mountain eye”, this amazing glacier lake, being surrounded by numerous shepherds huts and Vranica mountain peaks, where some of them are more than 2000m, the lake is considered as one of the most beautiful nature In Bosnia And Herzegovina.

Sarajevo (薩拉熱窩) – Mostar (莫斯塔爾)(B, L, D)

Take about 2 hors drive and head to the south of Sarajevo to city of Mostar (莫斯塔爾). Visting the old town that was almost destroyed by war, it is full of history and Turkish architecture, beautiful stone streets and where the famous UNESCO protected Old Bridge (莫

斯塔爾古橋) located.

Our next destination is Blagaj (布拉加伊), where hosts the finest example of an underground karst river, Buna, it flows out of an 200m hanging cliff wall and creates the most magnificent part of Buna River. On the cliff, where Blagaj Tekke Dervishes Monastery (布拉加伊古修道院)

was built in the 16th century, make it remains one of the most mystical places in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Final stop at Pocitelj (波契泰利), a hidden gem of Herzegovina lies on a hillside that overhangs the turquoise Neretva River. This UNESCO heritage site with special Ottoman architecture and Mediterranean style blend of which makes this town unique. Počitelj is a real open-air museum and a much cherished place by numerous artists who, in this magical scenery, find inspiration for their works of art.

Meal highlight: Traditional Bosnia dishes including local fresh trout from the river. Also, Bosnia is a ‘Rakija’ (fruit brandy) nation, you will have chance to try this national pride.

Day 4 Oct 07

Mostar (莫斯塔爾) – Zabljak (扎布利亞克) (B, L, D)

Today you will visit 2 National Parks. First, drive towards East Bosnia regions to Sutjeska National Park (蘇捷斯卡國家公園)(about 2 hrs drive). People call it “The Yosemite of the Balkans” the park is ideal destinations for any true nature lover. It is famous for the “Battle of Sutjeska” (蘇捷斯卡戰), you will see the stone monuments (蘇捷斯卡紀念碑) commemorating Partisan victory over the Germans in WW II, which was the biggest monument project under Tito’s period.

After lunch, take about 3 hours drive towards Durmitor National Park (杜米托爾國家公園) in Zabljak. The 39000 acres Park is located at wide mountain region in the northwestern part of Montenegro, surrounded by rivers Piva and Tara and there are 23 mountain tops over 2300 meters of altitude. There are 18 glacier lakes in the Park and the highest top in Montenegro is Bobotov kuk (2522 m). Since 1980 Park and canyon of Tara are under protection of UNESCO. In 1977 canyon was proclaimed world ecological reserve. Seven zones of Park are among special protected areas

Zabljak (扎布利亞克) – Kolasin (科拉欣) (B, L, D)

This morning, you will travel to Durmitor National Park (杜米托爾國家公園) again for the Crno Jezero (黑湖), which also known as Black Lake and “Mountain eye”. Situated at 1400m above sea level, it is the largest of 18 glacial lakes in the Park. The 3.5 km walking path circles around entire lake, and it is popular destination for recreation and hiking.

Then we will visit a concrete arch bridge over the Tara River- the Tara Bridge (達拉德維耶卡塔

拉橋), built in 1937, it was the biggest vehicular concrete arch bridge in Europe during that time. After lunch, transfer to second Park of the day - Biogradska Gora National Park (比奧格勒

國家公園), nestled in the mountainous region of Bkelasica. Although it is the smallest of four National Parks in Montengro, Biogradska Gora National Park contains great diversity of flora and fauna.

Meal highlight: Taste some specialties from the mountain area including homemade cheese, fresh lamb, dried meet and homemade wine.

Kolasin – Kotor (科托爾)(B, L, D)

After about 3.5 hours drive, you will be in Kotor (科托爾)(about 3.5 hrs drive), located along one of the world’s most beautiful bays . The Old City of Kotor (科托爾古城) built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor land on the UNESCO’s World Natural and Historical Heritage Site list and also the top city for Best in Travel in 2016 by Lonely Planet. You can also walk around the 4.5km long Kotor City Wall and enjoy the best viewpoints over the Bay of Kotor (科托爾峽灣).

After, we will visit the Our Lady of the Rocks (聖石女士島), manmade island in front of Perast (佩拉斯特)from middle of 15th century, where 2 brothers from Perast found the painting of Our Lady, and the locals decided to build a chapel dedicated to Mother of God. The chapel houses a lot of exhibits with touching stories behind it.

By the end of the day, you will take 3 hours drive and cross the border to Croatia.

Meal highlight: Along the coastal area to taste the excellent seafood from the Adriatic sea including cuttlefish, and the Black rice.

Day 7 Oct 10

Dubrovnik (杜布羅夫尼克)- (B, L, -)

This morning, you will visit a family which has been producing olive oil for generations. Croatian olive oil production is a tradition dating back millennia. You will learn about how olive oil has been produced back in the old time.

Then we will visit the “Pearl of Adriatic “ , the UNESCO site Dubrovnik old town (杜布羅夫尼克

古城), it is well preserved and beautiful like a fairytale, it is said that famous Hayao Miyazaki‘s (

宮崎駿) anime Porco Rosso (飛天紅豬俠) inspired by Dubrovnik. Having a short town tour

followed by a beautiful walk along the ancient city walls where you can have best the panorama view of the whole town.

In the evening, the old town is vibrant, street performances, bars and restaurants, full of entertainment and meal choices. You will have your free time to explore the town, special transfer arrangement will be made to send you back to the hotel.

Meal highlight: Enjoy an organic homemade lunch at a family house, by using fresh ingredients from her garden. Tasting some finest small production olive oil and homemade chess, dried meet and wine. For dinner, you may try Michelin dishes in city (own expenses).

Dubrovnik (杜布羅夫尼克)– Mali Ston (馬里斯通灣) – Split (斯普利特)(B , L , D)

Croatia‘s Adriatic coast has many hidden gems, but for oyster lovers, you should go to Mali Ston (馬里斯通灣). The bay of Mali Ston has been famous for seashell cultivation since the Roman Empire days. One of the world’s most popular travel magazines, Condé Nast Traveller, named eating oysters there in 7th place on the its recent ’50 Things to do in Europe before you die’ list in 2015. Therefore, take a short boat ride, you will get to a floating oyster bar (海上蠔吧 )where fresh out from the sea oysters are ready for you.

After lunch, we will drive to Split (斯普利特)(about 3 hrs drive), the second largest city in Croatia, we will have a tour to another UNESCO site Diocletian‘s Palace (戴克里先宮), a Roman imperial palace with over 1700 years of history. Considered to be one of the most imposing Roman ruins, Diocletian’s palace is certainly the main attraction of the city of Split, Croatia.

Meal highlight: Mali Ston is a village on the Pelješac peninsula (佩列沙茨半島)which is also an famous wine regions in Croatia. You will taste the wine from this area during lunch. Tonight you will have a seafood dinner in one of the Bib Gourmands restaurant in Split.

Split (斯普利特)– Zadar (扎達爾)(B , L , D)

Take about 1.5 hours drive north to Krka National Park (克爾卡國家公園), we will visit the magnificent Skradinski Buk waterfall, this longest waterfall on the Krka River is one of the best known natural beauties of Croatia. Then, you will have a wine pairing lunch in a wineries, you will have chance to meet the Croatia’s leading winemaker and the winery owner Alen Bibich.

After lunch, we will drive to a city of exceptional history and rich cultural heritage – Zadar (扎達爾). The ruins of the old Roman forum, where stands today St. Donat church which is the symbol of the city. Continue to 2 unique attraction - the Sea Organ and Greeting to the sun., where to enjoy the ‘Best sunset in the world’.

Day 10 Oct 13

Zadar (扎達爾)– Istria (伊斯特拉)(B , L , D)

Today you will depart for the “coolest” wine cellar in the country- a underwater cellar (水下

酒窖). After a short speed boat ride, you will arrive a floating bar where an underwater wine cellar located. You will have chance to meet the owner of the cellar - Marko and learn about his no parallel history project, “The Coral Wine Project” which involves more than 50 experts from the wine industry, from winemakers to sommeliers to wine judges. It is a project that explores the natural power of the Adriatic Sea and its benefits in maturing alcoholic beverages. You will taste wines that straight from the underwater cellar sea.

After about 4 hours drive, you will arrive Istria (伊斯特拉) after lunch. Pay a visit to an award winning Istrian Olive Oil producer to taste the best olive oil in the region. Istria has been ranked as the best olive oil region in the world for four years in a row. You will walk in the olive grove during sunset and learn about olive oil production, and taste of the awarded oils.

Meal highlight: Today you will have chance to taste a specialty commonly known as “Queen of Dalmatian cuisine” (達爾馬提亞女王) which is a slow cooked beef. Overnight at Rovinj

Rovinj (羅維尼)- Motovun (莫托文) - Plitvice (B , L , D)

Situated on the west coast of Istria, Rovinj (羅維尼) is one of the most picturesque towns on Mediterranean. Early morning, our photojournalist Mr. Igor will bring you to the most beautiful spot for sunrise photo shooting (if weather allows). Then, you will have a walking tour in this lively town. Rovinj is also an active fishing port, you can feel the atmosphere of a fishing village, cobble stone streets with shops selling authentic local products.

Thereafter, you will be transferred to Motovun (莫托文), a small hill top town which surrounded by oak forest where the largest truffle in the world was found . You will have your free time to explore this lovely town, you can walk around Motovun wall (entrance not included) where you can take some nice shots of the oak forests, or visit the cultural museum (entrance not included), or go shopping for truffle products in local stores.

By the end of the day, you will take 3 hours drive to the Plitvice Lakes National Park (普利

特維斯湖國家公園)for overnight.

Meal highlight: Truffle lunch and pair with a typical Istrian red wine.

Plitvice – Zagreb (薩格勒布)(B , L , D)

Today you will have the whole day exploring the most visited site in Croatia - Plitvice Lakes National Park (普利特維斯湖國家公園). Nested in mountainous Lika region, the park is the Covering an area of 73,000 acres, it consists of 16 lakes, many waterfalls, caves, caverns, and forest. It was proclaimed to be the first national park in Croatia, and recognized to be a UNESCO World Heritage site. Autumn is the best time to visit the park. You will have enough time to tour the upper lake part and the lower lake part. Mr. Igor will also lead you to spots for the best photo opportunities. After visit, drive back to Zagreb, capital of Croatia for overnight.

Meal highlight: Zagreb, where is the continental part of the country, you will have chance to taste some traditional continental dishes for example baked veal under the bell.

Last day in the city, you will have a Zagreb city tour in the morning. The country’s capital is distinguished by its Austro-Hungarian architecture (奧匈帝國建築). At its center, Upper Town is the site of the Gothic, twin-spired Zagreb Cathedral and 13th-century St. Mark’s Church, with a colorfully tiled roof.

Afterwards, we will drive to a scenic village for our farewell party in an award winning boutique winery before departure. Tour leader Maggie will escort you to ake a later afternoon flight in Zagreb (transit in Doha), you will arrive Hong Kong on the second day afternoon (Oct 17). Meal highlight: Associate with the past village life, a big plate of organic meat and wine will be served to fill your stomach full before departure.
