The Texas Hot Air Camp runs July 13- 17 2008 on the Tyler Junior College campus, located 80 miles east of Dallas TX. Vaughn Hall Dorm will be a chaperoned home base for campers with check-in Sunday from noon to 2. Activities are planned for all skill levels and interests. The Texas Hot Air Camp runs July 13-17 2008 on the Tyler Junior College campus, located 80 miles east of Dallas TX. Vaughn Hall Dorm will be a chaperoned home base for campers with check-in Sunday from noon to 2. Activities are planned for all skill levels and interests.No need to worry if you don’t have experience handling balloons. Each day will begin with a balloon inflation (weather permitting.) These will occur at

different locations throughout the city andwill be conducted under the leadership of certified pilots.

Highlights include:Crew safety * System handling * Fire and Power line safety * Weather * Pilot training *Mapping* GPS* and Career Exploration

Campers also explore math, science, and technology careers throughout the week in a number of hands-on settings.

This is the ultimate experience for those 13 to 18 who want to learn more about hot air balloons, crew for hot air balloons or hold a student or private pilot certificate.
