BALSAFLEX®110  Description  BALSAFLEX® 110 is the typical density balsa wood core material offered by BALSEUROP ECUATO ESPAÑOLA, S.L. Because of its low weight balsa wood represents a good core material solution when low weight is required. When a resistant composite material is needed, balsa wood core material is a suitable solution due to the great comparison between low density and high compressive and shear resistence. Composites made with balsa core also assure environmental care. Balsa trees have a short cutting cycle and is a source which renews itself constantly. Therefore is an ecological resource for core material.

Applications   Balsa wood core material is commonly used in sectors such as marine, wind energy, transport and in general when low weighted and high resistant core material is required.

The raw material has been manufactured, being previously kiln dried with a maximum temperature of 70ºC, which assures the fulfilment of the legal phytosanitary requirements. All products resistance material data related in this Certificate have been determined by the Certification Technological Centre LGAI Applus. The values are the average of six tests made with different samples of the same product. All the tests have been made following the ASTM standards. Due to the different strips which compose a panel and which have different densities among themselves, there are differences in the values of one area compared to another area of the same panel and from one panel to another one of the same lot. These values can be higher or lower. The variation is not established and the values refer always to the average. This information is based on our present state of knowlegde. It should not therefore be construed as guaranteeing specific properties of the product described or their suitability for a particular application.
