This Year in Review Report aims to provide our members and others interested in our club’ progress with a snapshot of our activities and progress. Throughout the year, our activities have been united by a central thread: a commitment to network with our fellow Corvette Clubs in enhancing this sport and lifestyle. Over the next year, we will continue to make the case that we must network and support each other activities. We will seek out new opportunities and venues which will market our club and educate others about our love for the Corvette. By the time this report is printed, our club will be concluding the most successful season this club has had in it’s brief history. I want to thank all the club members, spouses, immediate family friends and business partners who supported us this year. We have been non-stop since January with event after event. We conducted or participated in over 36 events this year! Even through this club is comprised of busy profes-sionals, we are still committed in our time and talents in helping to improve our communities of which we live. Whether it’s fundraisers, community parades, car shows or our Sunday Cruises, the B-TRIPLE-C is always on the move. I must also thank the members of the following clubs who really supported us when we called; “Friends With Corvettes Club, Corvette Friends Vette Club of Frederick, and Top Flight Corvette Club. There are many people to thank but let me say thank you to everyone for helping us this year. We look forward to bigger and better things to come in 2008! We would also like to give many thanks to the vendors and businesses who supported us with gifts of their products and services; Security Square Mall, Meguiars, REVITUP by Chevy, Ecklers, Corvette Museum, BORLA and Mid American Designs. Your giving and support for our “ALL CORVETTE SHOWS’ was huge this year and we thank you! Thank You for showing your commitment to the lifestyle and sport of the Corvette and for being an important part of our success this year.

Some of the events we participated in this year stood out more than others. The Motor Trend International Auto Show, Detroit International Auto Show, Dad’s All Corvette Show, REVITUP by Chevy and the Ultimate Corvette Meet & Greet and Car Show. The past twelve months have just been fun! As you will see on the following pages, socializing and fellowshipping is just one of the things we do very well. We Love People~

As always, we look for people who share in the love and lifestyle of the car, but more than that, a strong sense of ca-maraderie of belonging to a family of Vette owners.

We are in the planning stages for our 2008 events. We hope you join us no matter who you are. We have re-ceived word that Blob’s Park is closing, so we are looking for a new location to have a bigger Corvette show next year. We want to continue to build relationships and expand this growing sport. We need sponsors and corporate giving to continue to help us promote our safe and secure activities. To the many groups and people we encountered this year, If there is something our club or I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

2007 Highlights and Accomplishments at a Glance

[|áàÉÜç Éy à{x UtÄà|ÅÉÜx VÉâÇàç VÉÜäxààx VÄâu Our club was founded in June 2004 by four guys (left to right, Jeff Scruggs, Rob King Rodney Steadman & Mike Foster ) who often saw each other at the Liberty Road Car Wash in Randallstown, Maryland. The guys just wanted to have fun with their cars. After some brief discussions, we started the club with the single purpose of just having fun with our cars. The Baltimore County Corvette Club also known as the B-TRIPLE-C, is an active club drawing members from various areas in the Baltimore County community and the surrounding areas in Maryland. Our membership consists of Corvette Enthusiasts of all ages, professions, and backgrounds. We enjoy participating in informal social outings as well as fellowshipping with other car clubs. We have traveled to shows all up and down the East Coast and have met many fellow Corvette owners & clubs along the way. Presently the club has 26 members with the majority of the members owning newer model Corvettes from the years 1998 to 2007. The club has grown over the last three years with a core group as well as new members joining every month. Currently, meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at City View Bar & Grill located at 6700

Security Boulevard in Woodlawn, Maryland (www.cityviewbaltimore.com). Every Saturday, we also hold weekly meet and greets at Security Square Mall from 5p-8p. The Club's many activities include displays at major events to sponsoring our annual All Corvette Car Show and Meet & Greet. We enjoy road rallies, Sunday cruises to country sites, picnics, youth car washes, community parades, Local and National car shows, and of course, our annual Christmas party. We adopted a youth group called the N-Full Motion Marching Band and Dance

troupe (www.nfullmotionmarchingband.com) from Randallstown, Maryland in which we help raise money for their band uniforms and their continued operation. In 2005, we joined the United Council of Corvette Clubs (www.unitedcouncil.com), a national organization of corvette clubs (UCCC) which covers the Eastern and Midwest areas of the United States. In 2007, we joined the National Council of Corvette Clubs (www.corvettenccc.org). The National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc. (NCCC) was founded in the United States as an all volunteer, non-profit organization in 1959 by a small group of Corvette owners/enthusiasts! The membership in NCCC is comprised of nearly 28,600 Mem-bers and is the largest non-profit, all volunteer Corvette organization in the United States! The Baltimore County Corvette Club seeks a Chevy Dealer as a corporate sponsor, but enjoys a cordial rela-tionship with Heritage Chevrolet. The N-Full Motion Marching Stallions Band and Dance Troupe

The Baltimore County Corvette Club has raised over $2100.00 toward the group’s marching band and dance uniforms. The B-TRIPLE-C loves the kids! The band is a community based group in Randallstown and is part of the Liberty Road Recreation and Parks Council. They are Baltimore County’s first and only community marching band!! These kids love to march! The band consists of 60+ members with kids aged 6-18 years old. The group is 501 (c) organization and needs continued support. Special thanks goes out to FWC Club who invited us again to the MLK Jr. Parade in downtown Baltimore. The Annapolitan CC, Top Flight CC and Baltimore County CC had fun celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As you can see with these photos, we made a huge impression on folks as well as Governor O’Malley. The Gov says he was a Stang fan but I won’t hold it against him. I also know that over 42 Corvettes in attendance disagreed with him, but we still voted for him.

The Baltimore County Corvette Club was the only Corvette Club on display at the 2007 Motor Trend’s In-ternational Auto Show at the Baltimore Convention Center. The show ran from Thursday—Sunday where club members had their Corvettes on display. The B-TRIPLE-C loves to talk to children who gawk at the shining cars so that they also understand the rewards of hard work. Club members were bombarded with technical and maintenance questions posed by the general public. It was also discovered while displaying our cars many people wanted more Chevy events in the area. So, attention General Motors! If you are reading this, please reading this, please call us so that we can bring a big event to Baltimore!!!

The National Council of Corvette Club’s East Region hosted the Corvette Spectacular at the Cal Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD. There was lots of activities for everyone who came out. There were Autocross events, several rallies, and Funkhanas too. The B-TRIPLE-C participated and we hope other area clubs will continue to support what we felt was a great event.

The National Corvette Museum has begun a new raffle fundraiser limited to only 2008 tickets to be sold on a new 2008 Corvette with the highly requested “ Build Your Own ” feature. The “Build Your Own” Corvette raffle gives the winner the opportunity to select a Coupe or Convertible and the choice of cur-rent factory colors and options. Raffle excludes “Z06 option”. The winner of the “Build Your Own” Cor-vette will be drawn on Wednesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. CT. Winner need not be present to win. Tickets are available at $100 each. The raffle winner will also enjoy the benefits and excitement of taking delivery of their new Corvette at the Museum as part of the “R8C Museum Delivery” experience. CHEVROLET ENTERS THE WORLD OF SUPERCARS WITH 2009 CORVETTE ZR1 New, Supercharged LS9 V-8 is the Heart of the ZR1

DETROIT – Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 – an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design.

“Chevrolet's goal with the new ZR1 is to show what an American super-car can deliver, at a price that trumps exotics that cost two, three or four times as much – and does so with exceptional drivability,” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general man-ager.

In addition to the exterior cues and power train, ZR1 models will be distinguished from other Corvette models by their VIN. Each will carry a unique, identifying VIN digit, as well as a sequential build number. This makes it easy to deter-

mine the build number of a specific car – information treasured by enthusi-asts and collectors. For example, a ZR1 with a VIN ending in “0150” would in-dicate it is the 150 th ZR1 built for the model year.

The specialized components of the new ZR1 work harmoniously to deliver the most powerful and fastest automobile ever produced by General Motors. Per-formance estimates will be announced closer to vehicle's summer 2008 launch. “Preliminary testing shows the ZR1 builds on the highly respected Corvette Z06 in every performance category, from acceleration and braking, to cornering grip and top speed,” said Peper. “It all boils down to the power-

to-weight ratio and the ZR1's is exceptional – better than the Porsche 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599 and even the Lamborghini LP640. In fact, the ZR1 is expected to be the first production Corvette to achieve a top speed of at least 200 mph.”

Corvette Lovers ascended to Atlantic City, NJ for the 3rd Annual Toy for Tots Corvette Run. 800 Corvettes were registered with several thousand dollars raised. Every Corvette owner brought a toy that filled up a full size tractor trailer. The toys will go towards helping needy children in the city of Atlantic City!

Several hundred pounds of food was collected. Special thanks to the Baltimore City Police, who provided an escort through the city for a caravan of 27 vehicles!

The Director of the BGFL center, Connie Bass really appreciated the donation and the amount of caring this Thanksgiving holiday. We are aiming to double the amount of giving next year!

Hearts race in Corvette Club 'America's sports car' celebrated 08/16/07 By Mike Fila The honks and hollers that hail from the streets near Security Square Mall bring a smile to the face of Owings Mills resident Jeff Scruggs, founder of the Baltimore County Corvette Club.

The 3-year-old Owings Mills-based club hosts the Saturday gatherings at the mall from 5 to 8 p.m. to meet other Corvette own-ers and clubs. Three other local clubs joined them at their July 26 meet. Orange, red, bright yellow, metallic blue and silver Corvettes, from a '72 red Corvette Stingray to the new generation C6 model, which premiered in 2005, parked in a far corner of the mall's parking lot undeniably draw attention. A gaggle of owners and spectators clustered under the shade of a lone tree undoubtedly talk about the 18 Chevrolet Corvettes, buffed to a sheen and baking in the afternoon sun. Members of the Baltimore County Corvette Club are easy to spot among the car-gawkers. Their white and race- checked polo shirts, with a B-Triple-C logo emblazoned on them, are a dead giveaway. "It's a social thing," said Bob Bloom, B-Triple-C Secretary. "We talk about who did what to their car, where to go to get them fixed, good mechanics and events going on with other clubs." Bloom became involved in the group after meeting founder Jeff Scruggs at the Reister's Towne Festival last fall. The club began in 2004, when Scruggs met three other Corvette owners at the Whiz Car Wash on Liberty Road. The car own-ers agreed to start the club. Bloom said he'd tried out some of the numerous Corvette clubs in Maryland, but none had what he was looking for. B-Triple-C is more of a social club, he said. Its members are not intensely into competing, nor are they into upholding stringent regulations or collecting dues. The 23-member club meets every second Saturday. Members also gather for their meet-and- greets every Saturday and a cruising outing every Sunday. The group also likes to attend as many car shows as possible, especially local events where they often draw a crowd. Scruggs said the group typically holds two large events a year, one of which, The Ultimate Corvette Meet and Greet and Car Show, was to be held this year on Aug. 4 at Blob's Park in Jessup. A member of the United and National Councils of Corvette Clubs, the local club is trying to network with other clubs and businesses to jointly sponsor more events and recruit corporate sponsors to help defray costs. The group also has a relationship with Heritage Chevrolet in Owings Mills, offering maintenance and repair services at discounted prices, which is where member Cassandra Wells, one of two women in the club, takes her blue Cor-vette to get work done. The loan officer, nicknamed Blue Angel because of her car, got her first Corvette while attending college at Howard Univer-sity. "I love sports cars, I've always had one. I feel like most women think 'Vettes are too sporty or too hard to handle, but I love 'em. Some women want shoes, I want sports cars ... and shoes," she said, wearing coral high heels with mother of pearl accents. Though Scruggs has owned only two Corvettes, his new model is a champagne color with custom electronics and leather seats. Scruggs said his affection for "America's sports car," as it has been dubbed, goes back to his childhood. A neighbor of the Scruggs family got a new Corvette every year. When he was 10 years old, Scruggs admired the car in which the neighbor drove home: a white 'Vette with red leather interior. When he was 13, that same neighbor let him drive the Corvette around the block. "After that, I was completely hooked," he said. As for what the attraction is, Wells, Bloom and Scruggs, standing together at the Saturday gathering, ramble off a list of the car's attributes: speed, status symbol, curves and lines and a great reputation. They agreed the Corvette has always been lauded as a good-looking, classic American sports car. "Look at them," Scruggs said, gesturing to the line of 'Vettes. "How could you not love this car?"
