Ban Tours is a reliable and flexible Croatian inbound and outbound travel agency founded in 1994. Following 21 years of continuous business and financial growth, the success of the Company is not by chance, but rather the result of dedicated work by 43 highly educated employees. They are fluent in multiple languages with a rich background working in the tourism and travel industry. We consider them to be the basis of our customer quality. Whether it is a board membership in ISTAA (International Sports Travel Agencies Association) or active role in CMPA (Croatian meeting professional association) among other, their effort and professionalism are recognized and embedded in the core values of our Company.

The company entered the charter business in 2008 with 10 brand new Dufour yachts and has continued to grow ever since. Our fleet currently numbers 37 Dufour yachts and this branch of our Company has continued to grow annually by 20% since its inception. The company is financially well grounded; with equity capital of nearly 800.000,00 EUR, in addition to the ownership of 38 yachts in the Adriatic. The reputation of our main bank, Erste und Steiermärkische bank, is also impeccable. All of the mentioned facts are stated to ensure that you, our partner, are booking with a trustworthy and reliable associate.

Michel Dufour, an engineer with a love of sailing, founded his shipyard in La Rochelle, France back in 1964. He owes his success to his keen intuition. Sailing has always been the embodiment of the pioneering, adventurous spirit and the pinnacle of pleasure. Dufour has been building production cruising yachts for over 50 years and its boats have always emphasized space, comfort and practicality. Needless to say, we are very proud of our very well maintained sailing yacht fleet and we attend to it with special care and love. We are proud to say that our customers will not be able to tell the difference between older and newer yachts. Our stride to provide the top experience of sailing in Croatia has three major foundations.

First and foremost, our customers are the focal point of our yachting organization. From first inquiry to providing all of the necessary information and additional services such as airport transfers and fast check in, our on call staff is here to ensure maximum comfort and a carefree vacation. Secondly, we take special and meticulous care of our yachts. No expenses are saved when it comes to ship maintenance, spare parts or winter / season preparations. Thirdly, our educated workers, fluent in multiple languages, stride to go the extra mile for our customers. Marina Kaštela is located only 12 km from the Split airport and enables quick transfers and minimal loss of clients’ time to start their sailing adventure. The marina is recently built and situated on the southeast side of the Kaštela Bay. The bay is shielded by Kozjak Mountain from the north while the Marjan Peninsula and the Čiovo Peninsula guard the bay’s southern side.

Ban Tours currently has a total of 38 sail yachts situated in 2 marinas, Kaštela and Rogoznica. We handpicked these marinas because of their quality of service and geographical position that would best suit our clients.

Marina Frapa is considered one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic, and it is certainly one of the most beautiful marinas in the Mediterranean. It is situated in the central part of the Croatian coast, between Šibenik and Split, in the heart of Dalmatia, in the town Rogoznica. The town is part of the lovely Soline Bay, sheltered from all directions. The center of the marina is an artificially built island with a number of facilities such as: a reception area, a control tow-er, servicing facilities, the hotel “Otok” with its adjoining parking area, catering facilities and other accompanying service-business facilities. Located 34km from the Split airport, it’s only a 40min drive for our customers to reach their sailing yachts and start their vacation.

For this reason we created an interactive map with suggestions on everything that can be seen in one week’s time on the beautiful Adriatic coast. Clients can use this tool at any time, no matter where they are, as it is located on our web page and wifi is provided on board. Ban Tours sailing school provides you with the knowledge of the basics as well as the most im-portant skills required for sailing. Our goal is not only to teach you how to sail or steer with the rudder, but also to show you how to live at sea. If we bring together in harmony the three most important parts of a sailboat; the wind, the sea and people aboard, we have learned to sail! For this same reason, we have decided that for the entire duration of the course accommodation will be on board.

It is very important to adapt to life on the boat, which requires being with other people and exer-cising tolerance. From the moment of coming on board, up until you receive your license, you will have to tolerate and live on board with many different people. Our instructors are experienced sailors and teachers who will provide you with their knowledge of sailing independently. We pay special attention to the size of our groups so that the participants can become a highly mo-tivated team for work and coexistence on board. You will learn the following theory: sail aero-dynamics, navigation, maneuvers by engine and by sail, meteorology, prevention of collisions at sea, and safety precautions.

It is very important to adapt to life on the boat, which requires being with other people and ex-ercising tolerance. From the moment of coming on board, up until you receive your license, you will in the practical aspect of the course we pay special attention to basic sailing skills and familiarization with the sea.
