Attendance Policy• If a student misses a marching rehearsal, that student will NOT be allowed to march at• that week’s football game and/or contest. The student will still attend the performances,• but will stand on the sideline.• The only exception to this is in the case of student illness. The following are the• stipulations on a absence due to illness:• · The student may only miss ONE MARCHING REHEARSAL.• · The reason for absence is illness of the student.• · A written note from a parent must be provided upon return to school.• · A phone call must be made from a parent to Mr. Beach concerning the• absence.• · The absence must be EXCUSED by the Attendance Office.• All of the above stipulations MUST be met in order for the student to march at that• week’s performances. As with any procedure in the Franklin Band, final decision will• be made by Mr. Beach.• Any excessive absences and/or tardies to rehearsals could result in the permanent loss of• a student’s marching spot.• Please understand this policy is designed to be fair and understanding, while maintaining• a high level of excellence. The Franklin Band is VERY limited to rehearsal time outside• of the school day and we need everyone to be there.• Please sign this and return the bottom portion only to show that you have read and• understand this policy.
