Foreword

• The objective of this presentation is to promote international understanding and fellowship among hams and to relay emergency, medical, urgent or priority traffic.

• Given the many disasters that occurred, especially in IARU Region III

• IARU Disaster network is one of the answers for us to be able to exchange information between countries, to convey to families in these countries.

– Provide guidance and direction on disaster management effort that includes disaster prevention, emergency response, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in a fair and equitable

Activation of IO-86 / LAPAN-ORARI FM Transponder

• LAPAN-ORARI satellite is a satellite that will take FM voice

• transponder UHF / VHF frequency 145.880MHz and 435.880MHz and Digipeater APRS frequency 145.825MHz.

• Also LAPAN-ORARI satellite will emit green light laser for attitude determination.

• Planned for a launch into a 650km LEO with low Earth Orbit (8 degree) inclination from India asa secondary payload with "Megha-Tropique".

• We have Schedule Testing 1 Pass with LAPAN Command Center to Open Voice Transponder IO-86 / LAPAN-ORARI for all Country in Equatorial,Date 14 November 2015 at 01:35 UTC – 03:40 UTC ..

• Every Amateur can use the Voice Transponder– Uplink 145.880 MHz tone 88,5– Downlink 435.880 MHz

• Note: IO-86 is in an equatorial orbit and should provide coverage between 30 degrees North and 30 degrees South of the equaror.

BMKG ( Meteorogical, Climatological and Geophysical Agency

• BMKG is introducing a new Earthquake distribution information system via Radio, named : Dissemination of Earthquake Information via Radio (VHF / UHF) , this is an additional in spreading information via Text SMS, this system is using Text to Speech methods.

• This system will be implemented first in Orari Central Java District, the planning is to connect the Interface Radio from the BMKG’s Data Centre to the ORARI’s wide area VHF Repeater in Central Java Provice

• If this trial succeed, it will be implemented with ORARI HQ, that has a national access

• With this cooperation, it will give the additional value to ORARI in spreading the Earthquake Information to the society.

• In fact, there are many things we can learn and use with the this Disaster Network

1. We can study Band Plan in our region2. We can learn to deliver the news in a short and

correct manner3. We learn to relay news, repeat and disseminate

information quickly among South East Asian countries.

4. And the most important thing is learning to use the Standard Operating Procedure

Disaster and Ham Radio Involvement in PALU• For the umpteenth time, disaster has triggered the rise of social solidarity. After a

while ago we saw the unification of the world community to jointly help our brothers and sisters who were hit by the tsunami disaster in Palu, Donggala and Sigi. Now we see the same enthusiasm arising when people from all over the world were helping the victims of the tsunami earthquake in Palu, Central Sulawesi.

• Shock and trauma is probably the right word to describe the psychological condition of the people of Palu, Donggala, Sigi and even Parigi Moutong District.

• We see something very contrasting that is often said by its citizens not caring for each other, it turns out there is still a high social solidarity. Many working volunteers covered in sweat without compensation including ORARI The Central Sulawesi region took the position to establish a POSKO Communication Support with YB8ZP Networkers located at MAKOREM PALU Central Sulawesi Province with Operators IRFANNUR, S.T., M.M - YB8OIN as Chair and HERMAN, S.E. - YB8OHB as Secretary of the Central Sulawesi ORDA assisted by Local BUOL, Local Tolitoli, Local Luwuk and Local Parigi as well as other Amateur friends from ORPUS, ORDA DKI Jakarta, Local Kalimantan, and Amateur members from ACEH. In collaboration with MAKOREM, Basarnas, BPBD and other volunteers include Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT)
