The Computer Society of India presented its fourth annual awards for

excellence in IT for corporates, on the second day of its 48th annual

convention here on Saturday.

Secretary (electronics and IT technologies) of Union Ministry of

Communications and IT J. Satyanarayana presented the awards.

President of CSI and Scientific Secretary to the Union Government S.V.

Raghavan and others were present.

Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation Anil Srivastava explained

about the awards, which were instituted by the CSI to encourage the

corporates to enhance their skills in implementing IT for better results for

the company. The first prize in each category comprised a cash award of

Rs. 1 lakh and a memento and certificate. Prof. Raghavan found

enthusiasm to participate in the competition was going up every year.
