What We Offer

Welcome to Banwy Sporting A warm welcome from all the team at Banwy Sporting. We started in

2014 with The Castle Shoot which we took on in the March, from then we

have developed the shoot and now are pleased to list The Valley Shoot to

our portfolio. The Valley Shoot is a completely new shoot developed on

previously unshot land close to Welshpool.

On our two shoots we are looking to give you a great day`s sport, with a

variety of presented birds, from the very high to great driven birds. The

Castle Shoot provides a combination of presentations, The Valley slightly

more higher drives, but both shoots offer a great day in the field.

All of our dates start with a warm welcome of bacon rolls, tea and coffee,

once in the field our hospitality includes a good Elevenses and then the

day is finished off with a great lunch. Through the day The Shoot Captain

will ensure your day goes smoothly and will place the guns according to

the conditions.

We are continually improving the shoots and it does take time to develop

the shoots into the final package, but then we will always be looking at

improvements. We offer days from 100 birds upto 250 bird days through

the season, plus a few smaller boundary days too.

More about our shoots...

The Castle Shoot

The Castle Shoot is situated overlooking the village of Castle Caereinion, 5

miles West of Welshpool. There was previously a shoot on the land, alt-

hough it had become fallow, in 2014 we took the shoot on and began to

develop it to become a long term shoot within the Welshpool area. The

shoot itself is a combination of steep banks, cover crops and woodland.

In 2015 we are adding more ground to the shoot and siting new cover

crops and pens to give us even more drives on the shoot. We have some

Signature drives including the Ivor, that can produce some very high

birds, we want to compliment these with more stunning drives in 2015.

The Valley Shoot

The Valley is situated slightly closer to Welshpool and is found in a hidden

valley with deep gulley`s and promises to give some stunning pheasants.

The Valley covers over 1,200 acre`s with open land and cover crops, with

a few wooded areas.

The shoot has a number of key pens to ensure a plentiful supply of birds

and challenging presentations.

We are excited to bring both shoots for you to join us

on in the coming season.
