On 9th of May we open the IV eDreams Marnaton Cup in Barcelona. For the second year running, the Club Natació Barcelona will host the Marnaton eDreams Barcelona, a 2km challenge aimed at promoting open-water swimming.

The day will consist of: women's individual challenge, men's individual challenge, relay challenge and for the first time we

are introducing a Kids challenge. This year the relay challenge will take place over a distance of 500m. The teams will have 4 swimmers and each swimmer will complete two laps of the circuit. This is the perfect opportunity to compete and more importantly

have fun with your friends.

COLLECTING THE SWIMMING BAGS

Each participant can collect his swimming bag from 16:00 on Friday the 8th of May at the Club Natació Barcelona Village. Access is by the San Sebastiá beach.

In order for the swimmers to receive the best possible attention on the day of the challenge, the swimming bags must be collected on Friday. In the bag you will find: •  Cap •  T-shirt •  Wetbag •  Rental chip (if you do not have it

yourself)

Remember that if you have entered the individual challenge and the relay challenge you will only be given one shirt in your bag.

Swimmers must always keep the yellow buoys to their left and red buoys and red helium balloons to their right. To appear in the rankings the swimmer must pass 3 chip controls: Start, turn point and finish.

SCHEDULE: •  At 9:00 the WOMEN will be called to the

starting room. •  In the starting room we will check that the

swimmers have their hands stamped, wristband and chip. Swimmers will not be allowed to start without these items.

•  At 9:15 swimmers will be allowed to warm up. •  At 9:30 Start. •  At 10h the MEN will be called to the starting

room. •  In the starting room we will check that the

swimmers have their hands stamped, wristband and chip. Swimmers will not be allowed to start without these items.

•  At 10:15 swimmers will be allowed to warm up.

•  At 10: 30 they will start.

TURN POINT: •  This section is in the middle of the swim. •  It consists of a section on foot along the

beach to avoid a barrier of rocks that it is impossible to swim past.

•  This is an obligatory section which has a chip control.

•  There will be health personnel to attend to any incidents.

SCHEDULE: 12:30h: RELAY

RELAY SWIMS Each relay team will have 4 swimmers. Each team must complete 8 laps of the course, 2 laps for each swimmer. It is essential that each time a new swimmer enters the water the chip is passed on and properly attached to the ankle.

SCHEDULE: Each team will find in their bag, 4 CAPS numbered 1 to 4 and in different colours. •  The first swimmers will start together. From

then on the next swimmer will wait until his team mate arrives, sitting on the chair provided with his team's name.

•  When his team mate arrives the chip will be transferred and always attached to the ankle.

•  The official team time will be recorded when the fourth swimmer crosses the chip control on the 8th lap.

Bib numbers 1 to 100: 24€. VAT included.




Renting the White chip: 3€. VAT included.

All subscribers to the individual event have the option of subscribing also to the relay

event for only 6€ more, if done during the same purchase process.
