JEFF ROBB, Since graduating with Distinction from the Royal College of Art in 1992 with a Masters degree in Fine Art Holography, Robb has continually made art, ceaselessly experimenting with three-dimensional imaging. Shortly after graduating, he was invited to submit a landscape work in to the V&A museum’s permanent collection, the first ever hologram artwork to be accessioned by the museum. Robb’s work now features in museums and private collections around the world. Watch the catalogue for more details: http://www.bart-gallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Jeff-Robb_Bart-Gallery_squared.pdf Robb is currently best known for his lenticular photographic work focusing on the female nude and abstract forms in space, which he makes in series. The artist has recently begun to produce bronze sculptures working with the female nude, a subject familiar to him, using cutting edge modelling technology combined with historic casting techniques. This radical development is typical of Robb’s open experimental approach in making art, using any combination of tools and technology available to him. In parallel to developing lines of enquiry around the nude and abstraction in his lenticular work, Robb is beginning to work on projects which investigate how we experience sound, and large-scale kinetic installations for public spaces, museums and galleries. For many, these new directions will at first seem uncharacteristic. Those who are familiar with Robb’s approach and what drives him as an artist will understand the significance of each project for him in testing possibilities with the lenticular medium, and creating new immersive experiences using three-dimensional imaging and cutting edge technology. This kind of experimental lenticular installation work is completely unchartered territory for artists. Jeff Robb is shown in galleries and art fairs around the world. Selected museum representations: The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Her Royal Highness Princess Firyal of Jordan Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK Getty Museum, Los Angeles, and many more.

GUIDO ARGENTINI was born in Florence, Italy. Since 1990 he lives in Los Angeles. His work has been presented during the best art fairs around the world, in famous galleries or got sold via the most important auction houses, like Christie’s. Guido Argentini’s first book got published already ten years ago in 2003. SILVEREYE, presented an exquisite series of studio and landscape nudes. In his second book, PRIVATE ROOMS, 2005, Guido Argentini offers an entirely different type of personal journey, one where eroticism and beauty are clearly inseparable. This second book is the result of ten years of photographs, all taken in the intimacy of closed rooms. REFLECTIONS was published in 2007, a vast collection of photographs of women looking at themselves in mirrors: a sort of unconscious research about the woman who studies herself, falls in love, and gets lost in her own image. SHADES OF A WOMAN published in 2010. In this new book I began exploring different levels and nuances of the female nature. ARGENTUM got published recently in 2013. Guido Argentini’s love for dance and for sculpture inspired this series of photographs. The skin, covered with silver paint, becomes an even, shiny surface and the human figure becomes more abstract, like the bronzes of Brancusi – his stongest source of inspiration for this awesome art. Watch this: https://vimeo.com/69417913 “I feel that I constantly need to find new visions of the world and thus, life and women. All I have accomplished so far has been “for the eyes of a woman”. Women have always been the source of inspiration for all my art forms“.

BJOERN THOMAS, born 1971 in Cologne, Germany. His work has been presented e.g. in MIAMI, BASEL, NEW YORK, SHANGHAI, Museum of Contemporary Art in Beijing or SAATCHI MUSEUM in London and has been sold to major collectors like the famous Pritzker family in Los Angeles or the unique Jan Eric Löwenadler collection in Sweden. Bjoern Thomas creates stimulating environments of people from all walks of life, presenting situations both real and fantastical in order to explore the complexities of human experience through an artistic and honest lens. He stylizes people in staged environments in order to theatrically combine fact with fiction, real people within symbolic and illuminated environments. Through his combination of reality with imagination, his subjects ranging from the discovery of outer space, distant cultures in faraway lands to incarcerated gangsters and crime families become more than documentations of people in unfamiliar lived environments but become cinematic, adding a theoretical layer to his aesthetic portraits that triggers investigations into the alluded symbolic imagery. Bjoern Thomas uses photography to discover foreign elements prevalent in our society, exploring uncanny sub-cultures one does not personally understand or is influencing humankind with a unique space art project. The photographer unearths the differences between individuals, the alien aspects one may never have personally encountered, seen most notably in his “Art Space” pictures or powerful “Gangster” series. He photographs for instance released prisoners from Los Angeles correctional facilities not in their prison cells, but in expressive situations that explore the complexities of criminal actions; rather than voicing their injustice and deviant behaviors, Bjoern Thomas symbolizes their de-criminalization and entryway back into the guidelines of social justice. Bjoern Thomas’s photographs of minority individuals and distant cultures eloquently shows that the unknown is a dialectical phenomenon that eventually becomes familiar and not far removed from our own understanding of human existence. A German TV channel broadcasted a 4min interview about his space project. Watch this: https://vimeo.com/69996615 and https://vimeo.com/86936992
