BarTracks™ Sample Reports

BarTracks™ makes reporting simple and fast!

It has a very powerful capability for creating custom reports. And it does notrequire writing complicated query language.

Reports can quickly and easily provide answers to questions like these:

Where are the 25 “Desk-Wood” Assets purchased on Purchase Order97-02537-092? What Condition are they in?

Where are there “Bed-Double” Assets in Room Type “Visitor” in Building703 between Rooms 200 and 499 (Second through Fourth Floor)?

What is the Current (Depreciated) value of all the Assets in Room 117 ofBuilding 401? What is their Condition?

Which Assets have been sent to Repair? When? Which Repair Facilities arethey in?

What is the Inventory of Building 17 Room 25? Rooms 1-55? For theseInventories, what is the original Purchase Cost? Current Value?

Which Assets will have their Warranties expire in the next 30 days? Whereare they? Can the list be sorted by Building and Room Number?

Every report is created using a two tab Select and Sort form. Basic Asset Detailsare on the first tab, as shown below. Most questions can be answered, and mostuseful reports, can be generated using this form.

The Advanced /Accounting Details are on the second tab, shown below.

With a combination of the Basic and Advanced Tabs, the User specifies what is tobe included in a report and how it is to be sorted. “Point-and-pick” lists ofSelection Criteria and Comparisons make it easy to set up the reports:

The Selection Criteria include all attributes of an Asset selected on the Basic Tab,such as Funding Type, and all the other Criteria on the Advanced dropdown list,as shown below. These are mostly “Accounting Details”.

The combination of Selections on the Basic and Advanced Tabs, and theComparisons on the Advanced Tab, produces extremely powerful reportingwithout technical difficulty for the User.

When reports are set up, whatever is selected will be included in the report, withchoices of sorting order, and the BarTracks™ report comes out as requested.

If nothing is selected, every detail is reported.

It is easy to return to the Select and Sort form and modify the choices.

Reports appear on the screen exactly as they will print on paper. So most of thetime, it is not really necessary to “print” any paper. If paper copies are needed, astandard Print Menu presents all the usual options. It is also easy to export theinformation from any report to Microsoft® Word or Excel.

So simple and easy!
