Introduction
Kazi hamidur sir told us a short brief about his career and what he does in
Grameenphone. We all know that we have to manage our surrounding people.
However, in corporate level we must have to manage our boss or superior post
person for our promotion.
We learn from his lecture that is:

Roaming & International Business
Roaming is using your sim card in other country. When you travel from one to
another country, you do not need to change your sim card. That is call-roaming
facilities. International Roaming (IR) is a service that allows subscribers of one
mobile network to use his/her own phone (number & handset) in foreign operators’
networks while travelling outside home country. In Bangladesh, Grameenphone is
the first telecommunication company that introduce roaming. International Business
is doing a business internationally.

Grameenphone has many objectives. Like;
Growth & Expansion
Profit maximization
Cost minimization
Customer centricity
There are few dimensions. i.e. marketing, Finance, HRM, Accounting
If we start a new business, if it does not work, we should close the business.
Things we face internationally that are negotiation, Time differences, Culture Group,
Conflict of interest, power imbalance, political imbalance. All the company believe in
direct payment.
Stakeholder management - hit or miss factors are vendor, investor, and internal
team. He tells us principle of marketing. It is very important for corporate level. In
addition, corporate life should be team based.
The important take-away points from the lecture are Roaming & international
business, Stakeholder management, principles of marketing.
The most interesting part to me is his real life history. Because it is important, that
everyone should be legal to his/her work place.
I want to know more about roaming and international business.
Yes, I would like to pursue a career in the area because I want to be like Kazi
Hamidur sir. He can easily access someone network. He has a great respect in
Grameenphone. Last of all, I like his personality.
