Hand Placement and Hand InjuriesImproper hand placement is a leading cause of Hand Injures on this project :
Always properly position your hands for the task, stop, look and think about your hand placement before conducting any task
1. First recognise the hazard ,then develop a work practice to keep hands out of “The Danger zone !”
2. The best safety device for your hands Is yours eyes and your mind
3. Stay alert and aware so you can avoid poor hand positioning and keep them out of “The Danger Zone”

• Every year hundreds of thousand of fires occur resulting to tens of thousand of people being killed and many other suffer horrible injuries from fires.
• Not everyone who die is killed by the flames, over 60 percent of those who die are overcome by smoke and fumes which can kill within a very short time of a fire starting.

1.By removing combustible material from the neighborhood of the fire, such as the transfer of fuel from the burning oil tank, closing the valve on the gas or fuel line.
2.By removing material on fire from the neighborhood of combustible material, e.g. isolating the burning material from the one safe nearby.
3.To subdivide the burning material to small- sized isolated fires to break continuity.

Class - A (fires involving “solid
material” normally of an organic nature
like wood, paper, cloth, rubber and some
plastics). Class – B (fires involving flammable
liquids). Class – C (Gases like gasoline, butane and
propane). Class - D (fires that occur in
combustible metals like magnesium,
titanium and sodium). Class F: Cooking Fats and Hot oils (Catering
Equipment).
