    y Format: Chronological resume (latest experience listed first) NUS firsty Provide sufficient spacing between each segmenty Length: 1 full page resumey Font: Arial, Times New Roman with min font size 10-12y Use bullet points dont wite in full sentancesy Abbreviations: use only commonly recognized ones (Eg GCE)y 3 Abrevs for dates (Jun, Jul, Dec)y Professionally taken photography Check grammar/spellingy Use past tense unless activity is still on-going

    o Heading: Name should be in prominent bold; Contact info should includename, mobile, email (create a alias)

    o Education: Spell NUS in full; must spell degree in full (Currently pursuingBachelor of Business Administration); indicate major/minor; overseasexchange/NUS Overseas College Programme/USP; CFA; Cumulative

    Average Point; Date of graduation or Expected date of graduation

    o Can state courses, activities, competition taken in exchange, if it isrelevant to the position of application.

    - Introduce yourself and explain the purpose of writing (writing inresponse to an advertisement in the straits times etc, co-

    application (when youre not sure if there are vacancies), writingin view of a recommendation)

    - Highlight your reason for application, describing how you couldmake a contribution by relating your most relevant

    accomplishments and experience to the position you are applying

    - Opens the door for further communication and follow up (howthey can contact you for an interview etc)

    Key points:

    -Address cover letter to the hiring manager

    - be concise, no more than 3-5 brief paragraphs on one page

    -include contact information for easy follow up

    -always check spelling and gramma
