SMOKE ALARM LEGISLATION ANNUAL MAINTENANCE PLAN 2022 COMPLIANCE PLAN

From January 1st 2017 every new or significantlyrenovated Queensland residense will need to befitted with photoelectric, intreconnected smokealarms.Any smoke alarm being replaced after 1/01/2017must be a photoelectric smoke alarm.All houses built before 1/01/2017 which are soldor leased, has until 1/01/2022 to comply with the new regulations.All owner-occupied private dwellings will need to comply with the legislation by 01/01/2027.

What type of smoke alarm?Additional Compliance Services

Smoke alarms are required to be placed:* on each level* in every bedroom* in hallways which connect bedrooms and the rest of the house* if there is no hallway, between the bedrooms and other parts of the storey* if there are no bedrooms on a level, at least one smoke alarm must be installed in the exit path from the dwelling

* 240v mains powered photoelectric interconnected smoke alarms or* Photoelectric interconnected alarms powered by a sealed 10 year bettery

This plan is for existing residential properties toensure they maintain the minimum requiredcompliance under the new legislation for theirexisting smoke alarm systems.

Plan Includes:* $75.00 Annual Fee* Inspection, cleaning & testing of existing smoke alarms.* Replacement of alkaline 9v batteries.* Repositioning of existing 9v smoke alarms to meet legislation requirements.* Annual compliance cerificate.* Compliance inspection & certificate at each change of tenancy.* Maintenance records held on our secure database.* Replacement of faulty, damaged or expired smoke alarms will incur an additional cost.* Repositioning of 240v hard wired smoke alarms is not included in this plan.* Professioanl advice as to future smoke alarm requirements.Battery Upgrade Option:We can upgrade your 9v Alkaline battery to a10 year lithium battery for $15 per battery.

This plan meets full compliance to the newQueensland smoke alarm legislation for newand existing properties.

Plan Includes:* $125.00 Annual Fee* Ensures all smoke alarms meet AS3786* 5 year warranty on all wireless photoelectric interconnected smoke alarms installed or replaced.* Replacement or installation of wireless or 240v hard wired photoelectric interconnected smoke alarms at a cost of $225 per alarm.* Annual compliance certificate.* Compliance inspection & certificate at each change of tenancy.* Maintenance records held on our secure database.
