Basilar stenting has been performed under general anesthesia, with deployment of a balloon- expandible stent PHAROS

The approach has been through the non-dominant right VA, in order to preserve dominant flow through left VA; right VA has suffered several spasms during the procedure

Short-term cosmetic and hemodynamic results are excellent (left PCA is now supplied by the basilar artery, and not by the left ICA as it was before, and flow speed is normal now)

Patient has waked up without any deficit. I just left him eating a creme caramel in his ICU bed. He has promised again not to smoke ever more…
