Grand Prize Cash prize and will perform in the Aegis Concert on 31 January 2015
Second runner up -Cash prize and will perform in the Aegis Concert on 31 January 2015
Contestants:
Open to all amateur or professional music enthusiasts who are not signed to a record label
individually or as a group
Each group should have a minimum of three (3) members
Members can be composed of any gender with a minimum age of twelve (12) years old
Each band member can only join and perform for one (1) group
Contest Mechanics
Any two (2) song entries per band in the eliminaon and semi-nal rounds
Songs can be of any genre or original composion

In case there are obscene or profane languages in the songs, they should be replaced or
omied otherwise, a maximum of 10 points will be deducted by the judges in the overall
score.
Each band will have a maximum een (15) minutes stage me which includes setup,
performance, and pack up. One (1) point deducon per minute in excess of the me limit
will be implemented.
In the grand nals, each band will perform 2 songs
o Any song choice of the band and
o Contest piece which will be announced and distributed on October 2014
o The band will showcase their musical creavity by making their own arrangement
of the contest piece.
Eliminaon Round and Semi
Final Round
Top four (4) contestants will compete in the grand nals on 19 December 2014
Criteria for Judging
Planning and Preparedness -20 points
Originality -30 points
Audience Interacon -
10 points
Quality -20 points
Presentaon -20 points
Equipment, Instruments, and Props
The organisers will provide the following instruments and equipment during the contest:
o 1 Keyboard Amp
o
1 Keyboard stand
o 1 Bass Amp
o 1 Guitar amp
o 3 microphones and stands
o Basic Drum set (Bass, 3 Toms, snare, clapper, crash, pedal)
Contestants should provide their own instruments and cables
Drummers are encouraged to bring their preferred cymbals and snare
All other equipment and instruments not specied in this list should be supplied by the performers

The cost for damaged equipment due to misuse will be shouldered by the band responsible
Pyrotechnics are not allowed
Technical Malfuncons
Sound system malfuncon, disc fails to play, skips mid-performance, power outage,
invasions, rebellions, or acts of God does not give the contestant the right to start over or
use a dierent song. The cause of the malfuncon may or may not be taken into
consideraon for allowing the contestants to connue.
when a contestant performed a poron of the song prior to the malfuncon, the contestants
will be judged as though the song was completed
General ehaviour and Conduct
Contestants, their family or associates who exhibit oensive behaviour during or any poron
of the contest will disqualify that contestant.
Any contestant, family member, or associates who argue the decision of the judges may be
considered unruly and may be disqualied from the compeon
