SpeakerBiographies
Craig Trierweiler has been on staff at NHCC since 1999 where he began as the custodian and currently serves as Senior Pastor. His first date with Kori was 25 years ago this month in the Windy City of Chicago. They have been married over 24 years and blessed with 4 children. Craig has a bachelorʼs degree in Pastoral Ministry from Moody Bible Institute and an MA in Ministry Leadership from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. His life mission is “to help people love and obey Jesus through the clear and relevant teaching of Godʼs Word.”
Kori Trierweiler is a wife, mother and a Bible teacher who resides in Traverse City. She attended Moody Bible Institute, where she met and married Craig, a pastor. She loves to teach about the love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Kori is a mighty prayer warrior in the Kingdom of Heaven, and prays that you would be drawn closer to Christ.
Tim Manzer has been blessed in so many ways! I have been an associate pastor at New Hope for over 21 years; I have been blessed with Kim as my wonderful wife for 37 years; two grown kids TJ and Jennifer (they have married and blessed us with Kevin and Amanda, plus 2 granddaughters, Elodie and Brynlee.) I am a very proud grandad! I am into hiking, trail running, drinking coffee, balance stuff, kayaking and going to the gym. One personal goal; I have visited every state except Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii. Itʼs time to visit the last four.
Christian Brower has been part of the NHCC family since 1993 in various roles - handing out snack at age 7, attending youth group, volunteering in various positions and the last 11 years on staff as the Student Ministries Pastor. Christian is married to his college sweetheart, Megan and they have two beautiful children, Charlotte and Jonah. On a sunny summer day you can find Christian riding his motorcycle, on his boat, disc golfing, or being angry that he's at the beach.

Bob Boeve was born and raised in Holland, MI and attended Reformed Church during his youth. Graduated from Hope College with a degree in Business and Political Science and has an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota. He has been attending New Hope for over 30 years and currently serves on the Board of Elders. Married to Sally and has 4 adult married children and 8 grandchildren. He owns and manages a farm and a small oil and gas exploration company.
Richie Henson is the new guy at NHCC having joined the staff as the Wildfire and Radiate pastor in June. Richie grew up the son and grandson of a pastor in California. He has been married for 14 years to his spectacular wife Becky and together they have an awesome son Emmit. They are so excited to be with us in Traverse City and aren't even mildly concerned about the imminent winter weather.
Tim and Patti Dietlin have been attending New Hope Community Church since 1995. They have been married for 43 years and have 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 12 chickens and 3 ducks. When they arenʼt memorizing books of the Bible or playing on stage on a Sunday morning, Tim can be found tuning pianos while Patti accompanies him. Tim enjoys playing the organ, eating the spiciest food he can get his hands on, and sharing his love for God; meanwhile, Patti loves gardening, swimming in Torch lake and caring for her grandkids any chance she has.
Joe Castañeda has been serving in ministry, with his wife Traci and their three kids, for the last 25 years. Joe is a speaker who communicates Godʼs Word with passion and humor, ministering to audiences at camps and retreats all over the country. He and Traci share their love for marriage in weekend marriage retreats and couples classes. Joe is the founder of Overboard Ministries, an organization that helps pastors and leaders publish their books. He has authored three books of his own (Project Nehemiah, Project Joseph, and Overboard) and co-authored a youth fiction book with his youngest daughter, Celina. Currently, Joe works full-time as Regional Ministry Director, NW MI branch, with Crossroads Farm, an organization that seeks to reach rural youth with the Gospel. Joe and Traci live and serve in Kalkaska MI.

Getting SiftedHebrews 12
God allows us to be sifted because it strengthens our _________________ (Luke 22:31-32)
The enemyʼs attacks come in two main areas: (Hebrews 12:1)
1. Things that _______________________
2. Sin that __________________________
Our enemyʼs primary goal is to keep us from_____________________________
When weʼve been knocked out of the race, we have two fundamental options:
1. Be ____________________ by it, and quit
2. Be ____________________ by it, and get back up
Godʼs discipline is ______________________ for us, because He knows whatʼs next (Hebrews 12:10)
How do we get back up?
1. We _____________________________ from our brothers and sisters in Christ (“we…us…”)
2. We _____________________________ on Jesus
