Beth Jacob is part of this Los Angeles-wide program of The Jewish Federation, through which the Jewish Family Service
of Los Angeles (JFS) brings social services into the synagogue every Tuesday, during business hours. The
following programs and services are available, in private and free of charge:
Learning about governmental financial assistance and
government program eligibility. Access to one-on-one sessions with a JFS social
worker, Beit Tzedek legal counselor or Jewish Vocational Service job counselor
Referrals for other services and information about upcoming workshops.

The mitzvah of hearing the shofar on Rosh Hashanah is an intricate part of this special holiday. We know that unfortunately some members of our community cannot make it to shul during the holiday and we would like to assist them in fulfilling this mitzvah. If you or someone you know is homebound this Rosh Hashanah, please notify Rabbi Topp at [email protected] or 310.278.1911 ext. 203. We will make sure to arrange for someone to come to your home (or hospital) to blow the shofar.
