Baylor University Summer Music Camps Tuesday, July 5 - Saturday, July 9, 2016 CAMP DESCRIPTION: Come participate in one of the finest All- State Choir Camps in Texas as you prepare the music for the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir auditions. Begin the Fall already prepared on the All-State music. You can be “auditions ahead.” We will have an enjoyable time together, as this is an outstanding learning experience for each participant. With a wonderful camp faculty, you will receive superb training on the music used for this year’s All- District, All-Region, All-Area, and All- State auditions. COST: The total cost of the five-day camp, including tuition, fees, housing, meals, and the All-State Music Packet is $395. Commuting students may attend for $295, which includes all activities, tuition, lunch, dinner and the All-State Music Packet. ENROLLMENT LIMITED: Enrollment is limited to 275 students and is filled on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. Applications for registration MUST be received no later than Friday, June 17, 2016 (or until camp is filled). All non-scholarship applications must be accompanied by a $100 non- refundable deposit (which is applied to the total cost of the camp) and the required release forms. SCHOLARSHIPS: All former 2016 TMEA All-State members may apply for, but are not necessarily assured of, receiving full or partial camp scholarships. There are a limited number of scholarships available for the All-State Choir Camp. To apply for a scholarship, please fill out the "Choir Camp Scholarship Form" and email the completed form to Lynne Gackle at [email protected]. Scholarship applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis as available. Notification of scholarship award will be given via direct email, and recipients will be asked to submit their registration directly by mail. If applying for a scholarship, please do not register online via credit card payment. Enclose the completed application and the $150 non-refundable camp fee (payable to Baylor University, this fee is not covered by the scholarship) and submit by mail to: Baylor Summer Music Choir Camp One Bear Place #97408 Waco, TX 76798-7408 RECREATION: A variety of fun activities will be available during the camp, including free time, and on-campus rec time. Students may participate in a talent show and travel to a local theatre to view a movie. Counselors will oversee all recreational activities. DIRECTORS’ PARTICIPATION: Choral directors are welcome to attend and observe. Cost for auditing the camp is $300, including tuition, fees, dormitory and meals. Tuition for commuting teachers is $200.
